Personally I'm not all that attached to Russell. I fell in love with the Thief demo, and Russell only had like 2 lines of speech in the entire mission. Plus, he was sounding pretty old in the Bioshock trailer.

Seems like it. Or they just couldn't get reach him... but it would be nice for them to give some excuse. If they did some research as they claim - they should at least realize the importance of it.

@thiefessa - I'm sure you have conversations with EM people fairly often, whether it's Biskit or whomever - it it possible to get a definitive answer as to whether Russell is definitely in or out at this point? Is the trailer narrator the "new guy," or just a placeholder? I would think this would be a fairly simple answer at this stage in development. See what you can do. Even way, I think the fans just want to know and end any kind of rapid speculation.

Wow, I really hope that that voice is just for the narration of the trailer. If Stephen Russel is not the voice actor for Garrett, then I hope Slyfoxx can fill in that role somehow, seeing his voice has some resemblance to Stephen Russel's voice. I truly enjoyed Slyfoxx voice acting as Garrett in many of the fan missions. So until they officially release the voice actors for Garrett, I guess we just need to adjust our mindsets a little just in case Garrett does suddenly have a new voice.:erg:

Has anyone here actually said that? About the most apologetic we've got are people like me who think it sucks, but aren't willing to write off the game entirely because of it.

Slyfoxx is a great guy and an excellent voice actor, but he sounds
nothing at all like SR. You're likely just used to it from all the fan missions.

I'm perfectly fine with this Garrett not being voiced by Stephen Russell, as long as the new voice actor does a great job. It's a reboot, a different Garrett, deal with it. Hell I'm more concerned by the ninja moves he performs to escape the guard, à la assassin's creed...
