You're in dire need of an English lesson if you think anything he stated - which was, for the most part, better personified by the phrase 'resigned disappointment' - honestly constitutes 'hyperbole'.

Yes, you are correct.
jtr posted in between my two posts and I didn't see his last post. His last post is fine - its the one I've quoted, the "paving paradise" one, that is the hyperbolic one.

I think the liberal use of the word "hate" and the belief hate's involved has been hyperbolic. I believe your actual hatred of people you don't understand is hyperbolic in relation to the threat they hold for you. Can't help ya. You know you are right.
SubJeff on 19/4/2013 at 11:59
Well I don't think you actually hate it!
But you are being a hater! It's slang yo.

What do you think's going to happen here that hasn't yet? No one's going to follow your rules for how people should conduct themselves, either. *shrug*

Hatred is a strong word for what's going on. Juvenile crying about how-does-that-bow-work-oh-my-god-it's-ruined-garrett-wasn't-a-brown-person would be more accurate.

Come on man, I don't have rules for behavior and I don't expect anyone to behave in a specific way.
I bet you don't either but that doesn't mean you want someone stealing from you, or sniping your parking space at the supermarket.
I perfectly well understand and accept that people have misgivings about Thief. It could be a train wreck; there are some things that I don't like and some things I don't mind but can see someone else disliking.
That's your opinion and that's fine.
But what you do is make snide remarks and complaints about every little thing, and the forum is so full of you and a few others crankiness that a bunch of other people are finding it tiresome. It's got to the stage when pavlov's joke just blended into the moans to me.

We have nothing to lose by speaking up.

I beg to differ.
If it were sensible, albeit impassioned, criticism EM might just take note.
But would you pay attention to endless nitpicking about your work? Is there a stage where you'd think "okay, these guys just want to moan, there is no pleasing them"?
Because if I were EM I'd have thought that 2 days post reveal already.
