Hm, interesting.
Notice that we don't see Garrett say anything with his own mouth. While the voice is clearly implied to be his, there isn't an explicit on-screen identification. It might be Monty's way of telling gamers "keep your shirt on, this is just placeholder".

Yeah, the narrator's speaking as though Garrett himself, but I kinda wish it would've been from a Keeper's point of view with that voice.

It would be better indeed. I thought (I wished) it was just the narrator's voice until it became clear that it is Garrett's voice.

I think the thread title is a little prematurely hysterical. The final voice actor hasn't been confirmed yet, so while it is useful to speak up and let the devs know the general desire for Stephen Russel, there's no point in panicking just yet. Having said that, the voice actor in the trailer did a credible enough job and I'm certainly not going to boycott a game I've been waiting 8 years for just because I don't get every last detail I want.

This guy is trying to get the rhythm right but his voice is too young and not gruff enough. That said; we don't know that this will be the final voice actor.
It would be a real shame if we didn't get SR, and EM know that too, I'm sure. But that's life folks.

The only thing we know now is that Garrett isn't voiced by SR
in the trailer. This is the old trailer that was shown to the press behind the closed doors like a year ago, or half a year? We got low-res screens leaked from it.

is someone who comes very close, a guy who does voice acting for FM's. The one who did Garrett in the Rocksbourg series (and I think the same one who did him in Calendra's) - I never checked who he was, but he's brilliant. Maybe we could ask him to do a voice replacement pack for T4....

Shayde: Not as hysterical as the hysteria over the hysteria. It's hysterical all over. Glad you could speak calmly about it. Also, don't worry about it. It's normal, but it'll get worse if you poke at it.
