Thief 4 will be awesome because... - by jay pettitt

For a long time, part of my wishlist for larger and more inwardly detailed City maps, was that the devs had given Garrett, as part of his Keeper training for entering ruins and complexes, the discipline of blazing his trails with a directional marking. Like leaving a trail of bread crumbs, if the original meaning of trailblazing escapes someone. I know at least two taffers who've mentioned using junk items to mark pathways they've come from to keep from going in circles.
As part of having little time to play nice and slow and with ghosting in mind, I would leave doors open in the games, to know from a distance that I'd already explored a space, and would close doors only to block AI lines of sight to me, since the games allowed that and many lacks of realism. With a new game, and more sandbox play, and since I hate retreading and grinding and going in circles, lost or not, I would like to have the ability to draw arrows only Garrett can see to mark where I've been in labyrinthine closed-in places, where landmarks are not visible. Seeing these examples in TDP and Gold, I wondered why they were never really worked into the whole Keeper system until TDS, but I'd just like simple arrows, not mystery Glyphs.

Dia, cheer up FFS, the last thing we need is another pail of vomit in the misery bucket.
Ich kann nicht. Jedes Mal, wenn ich versuche, löst EM ein weiteres Stück von Informationen über T4 und ich am Ende griff nach dem Eimer wieder.

Maitre D: And finally, monsieur, a wafer-thin mint.
Mr Creosote: No.
Maitre D: Oh sir! It's only a tiny little thin one.
Bring me a bucket.:eww:

That actually sounds like you were already over the bucket when writing.

Lol. You're right, though. I'll keep my negativity out of it since I love you guys and don't want to rain on your parade.
(Anymore than I already have.)

A tiny little float of happiness in the long parade of shame. Here's your candy! Enjoy your cavities and obesity! *wave wave*
