Thanks, I'll check this later and post two or three doubts and questions there

We ask him questions about Thief, sometimes he tells us stuff.

Anyways, do we know anything about readables? Are they going to be in game? Will the story be also told through them? Will it matter to the objectives? I don't know if "casual" gamers want to read something. In Dishonored it was just extra stuff to support the lore or to show how to get loot, but Thief without readables and maps? I quite like the idea of getting readable and get to safe place where I can read it like in Dark Mod. That is one of the things I liked about Thief/System Shock to be able to set my own pace by listening/reading whenever I wanted to.

With all the handholding I've been seeing so far in T4 videos/news I rather doubt readables will be as important as they were in the original games. Certainly not if EM is gearing T4 to the type of gamer who prefers more action than stealth; the kind of gamer who doesn't mind if the devs take the controls away from the player for automatic parkour or knockout/kill sequences. Somehow T4 doesn't sound like it's going to be a game that appeals to the deliberate thinker as much as it appeals to those who want to see how fast they can push those action buttons. It would be nice to be wrong in this instance, though; unlikely, but nice.

It would be a shame if they didn't include readables about the game's story and setting. On the other hand not all notes must be about giving clues ; I loved reading about the relationship between habitants of a manor or castle in Deadly Shadows

On the subject of 'What we know is in, what we know is out', I was indulging in some TMA nostalgia and ran across the following video. I'd be willing to bet my bottom dollar that T4 won't contain priceless gems like this:
<param name="movie" value="//www.youtube.com/v/kj7kwnU_wMo?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="//www.youtube.com/v/kj7kwnU_wMo?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
Ahhh ..... good times.

Basically, a sort of community manager I guess
Hey Robert4222, not sure why nobody would give you a straight answer, but yes that's correct - I'm the community manager for Eidos Montreal.
Thanks for bringing the Jeux Video info to my attention.

I'm inclined to think the journalists got it wrong. We've seen gamplay footage at E3 for ourselves, and seen a whole heap of first hand impressions, and I'm pretty damn sure I didn't see anything like that.
Thanks Chade. You're correct - they got it wrong.
I'm not sure what the Jeux Video guys are on about, but the "alert system" described is in no way in the game. I'm scratching my head over this - My guess is the noise and commotion of E3, combined with the rush to play dozens of unreleased games within a few hours on the same day has left the journalist confused? It's also possible that this particular journalist didn't even manage to schedule a hands-on session, he might have only been able to attend a theater gameplay presentation/demonstration - not sure if he specifies in his write up.
But either way, 1 only needs to examine one of the many gameplay videos from E3 to see that this is categorically untrue - (

Thank you for your consideration about this detail. I'm more than glad that they got it wrong

What did you expect, quoting jeuxvideo.com? They're not as laughable as gameblog.fr, but they're the bottom of the barrel and can't be trusted.

You really don't have any idea about jv.com. It's not because a reviewer made a mistake that you can assume that it is "another joke review website".
