I agree, Esme...Everyone that comes here, ought to have an open mind and be willing to learn...rather than bringing closed-minded propaganda with them.
Esme on 21/7/2013 at 10:34
Well they might come with an open mind , but if the first thing they see are a series of insults aimed at them personally then it's not going to stay open for long.

You're right...and it's a good thing that there wasn't a series of insults...as I would be intolerant of such a thing for my friend from Eidos.

:) I know we're not terribly keen on a truckload of smileys here but perhaps the judicious use of a wink might have made the tone of your comment more apparent.

Me or Vae ?

It also might help if people keep their noses where they belong, and not assume things that lead to an errant perspective...when in fact there's been a relationship with them over the years at Eidos, and therefore do not understand the personal dynamics of their unique relationship...When I left Eidos, MT was still a friend, and I would like to think he still is, even after this whole E3 experience...Even though in our many discussions we've often been at odds, we have always enjoyed the sparring that has ensued.
To be clear, I will hold my friend to task...if he dares challenge me...:laff:

This isn't a personal dig ?
OK
I'll mind my own business in future then
SubJeff on 21/7/2013 at 12:11
It is a personal dig. But no one cares what he thinks; if you've read the nonsense he spouts at the Eidos forums you wouldn't either.

As I said, I think at this point, they are done making changes. I dont remember the name of the article, (its only a day or two old), but there is a quote from Roy who says something along the lines of them just wanting to get the game out. They neither need, nor want, more time. So, whether its crap or not, they are taking their chances. They are not interested in making core fans happy, and so it all comes down to marketing now. This explains their insistence on making Master Taffer their hardcore fan. It also explains the quotes that make us seem ridiculous for wanting the things that we do.
This is so very disheartening. But it makes perfect sense.
I need a hug.
