See, now there is the thing - the arrows in TDM fulfil the same functions as those in Thief 1/2/3 and yet the "reason" for them working is completely different?
Does this make TDM any less awesome?
No.
Keeping in mind we 'HAD' to change ours to respect copyright. Eidos owns the IP, so there is no such issue for them.

Be that as it may, it is irrelevant to the end result which is arrows that work.

I hope the devs can confirm swimming is back in the game. I'd even be happy to discover this in the gameplay video, for example.

If there is deep enough water we should be able to swim in it. I like the idea of swimming into places through sewers and so on because it gives a third "way" feel to things - you can sneak in a door or secret entrance (ground floor), you can get in through an upper floor window or skylight (rooftops) or through a sewer which is a third way.
But if there is no such deep water I won't be too bothered.

Yeah, Eidos-Montreal was given carte blanche to do whatever they wanted, and Broken Glass, and the entire Thief FM community were never given a single word either way, so people tread cautiously, some more than others.

I would really like to go for a good swim though, lol. I figure the river running through the city must be deep enough.

Awesome awesome post! Great compiling thanks!
But man...Dry Ice?!? REALLY????? So he's got a storage unit of the stuff? A place to buy or make it?
He's not worried about the smell? The weird smoke coming off it? Or the extreme reaction it's going to have when it comes in contact with ANY water on his journey? Guess he's going to have to have protective gloves. Hell I'd shoot it right inot the faces of guards to burn their faces and while they are bent over in pain and running for a doctor I'll steal all the gold.
What is wrong with water? You do not have to replace something JUST to replace it.

Can we see neat particle effects if they become submerged?
