i don't think is a stupid position holding the bow like that.
Simply you find yourself doing that when you are in a crouch position, so i think is logic and acceptable for Garrett to do that.
imho ofc.
Well...nah...you'd rather kneel and use the bow upright nonetheless. The problem is that pulling the bowstring only to the body gives you far less pull length than pulling it next to your chest. This results in less power, abnormal arrow behaviour etc. etc.

Not only does your body get in the way, you can't aim properly either.

Indeed. Many demos are put together in the same way for E3. Unfortunately people seem to act like Thief would be released in the following weeks in this exact state.
I sure hope they take the stupid QTE sequence(s?) out. Otherwise, it's only a multiplayer feature away from being a complete failure as a Thief game.

come on guys... even Legolas does it.
:cheeky:
Not only is he holding the bow wrong, that is no way to draw a bowstring.

:cheeky:

I imagine most games do it to get the bow out of the middle of the screen. Pretty stupid in real life, of course, but meh.

It's possible that the bow is being held like that because of Garrett's position--high up in a perch with a rail in the way. See the wooden rail there?
... which would be a cool and realistic feature, if the way the bow is held is predicated by your surrounding environment.

Adaptive environmental awareness, would be a good thing...yet, I can assure you this is not the case.

The one question I do have from that photo is, is the fog on the right-side really being held back by a picket fence?
