According to stats, my usual TG/T2 playthrough took about 35-45 hours. I was slow, no-kill, no-bj, and experimented a lot, but 10 hours for a Thief game sounds like a joke :nono:

My only worry is: Who in the hell is "Go" and why is he all knowing?
I noticed this, too. "Go" should be "god", I guess, - an old man with white beard with gentle eyes who knows everything about Thief 4. But you should know better. You wrote this! :sly:

I know that most of you probably don't speak german, but the article says:
Quote:
Laut Plan bietet das nächste Thief derzeit rund 10 Stunden Spielspass.
Which does not mean that playing through the main plot takes 10 hours, it means that playing the entire game (bonus objectives etc. included) takes 10 hours.
"Spielspass" means the time you can spend with the game until you've seen everything, been everywhere and nothing is left to do, except for starting all over again.
So it seems a bit short indeed :weird:

It's because the industry, as a whole, has grown up.

That's why I generally can't stand modern games made by large developer houses.

That's....a troubling thought. And sad if true.
But I wonder how true of an estimate that could be, if the developers have only a 10-hour playtime in mind. I mean, don't people play games at different paces? It doesn't seem like one could even fathom an estimate for playtime with an open-for-exploration-and-general-messing-around environment such as Thief--unless the environment isn't
that open. :(
Hey, you know what we need is some sort "Community Manager" who can pop in for a visit from time to time and represent the developers when questions like this come up? Wouldn't that be great?
Wouldn't it?
:erg:

Oh yes, I think, it might be around 15 or even 20 hours in total, if you count both the retail game and the DLCs.
