I have a DVD containing all cutscenes of Final Fantasy X
That's... horrifying

Clearly, you missed the part where he said he has a DVD of X-2's cutscenes as well.

I guess my brain just shut down after the FFX part.

Ahem, sorry, I'm just poking fun. Don't mob this post.
As for the 10 hours fiasco it sounds like a whole lot of nothing. First, I don't know about y'all but when ghosting I take a lot longer than I would just doing a by-the-book playthrough of a Thief game and secondly this really does seem to be a number pulled out of nowhere.
Besides, how long is a Thief game anyway? 1.5 hours for a complex mission, 30 minutes for a basic one? Let's say it averages at 1 hour a mission for a basic run-through just ticking the boxes - that's, what, 15 - 16 hours including about 45 minutes of cinematics and briefings? If anyone asked me for an honest evaluation of how long you could get in bare minimum gameplay out of Thief 2 I'd say perhaps 14 hours and a full ghosting play-through might give you 25 - 30 if you didn't have to restart missions
too often.

(Necrotic Mutox!)
So, with some significant changes since 2010, I imagine this old info is obsolete, even if the numbers still add up to a similar total.

The way they've been implying a lot of revision to the game over the years also makes me think that that article's information is pretty meaningless today.

Yeah. But what's really interesting is that, if it were based on fact at the time, EM had a all the maps developed and strung together one year after announcing the game was greenlit, and one year before Stephane Roy was brought in to re-direct the project. How much of that game design remains today, I wonder. If it was true then, why would anyone offer that info to a visitor, when it was way too early to say?

Hope someone updates the thread title, its misleading. :cheeky:
