To remove the bouncing arrow:
In T3UI.ini:
comment out the line:
BouncingArrow=DefaultBouncingArrow
so that it looks like such:
;BouncingArrow=DefaultBouncingArrow
the lines can be found under each of the following sections - comment out each one:
[PauseScreenScrollBar]
[TabbedPaneScrollBar]
[UniqueLootScreenScrollBar]

Well. I got the old Frob glow back..
Now I have played to the "St.Edgars Cathedral" level, and I still can't frob the "Gear item" (And I can't finish the mission without it)
Well, seems that even my Backup files are corrupted somehow. :erm:
I tried to uninstall the game, (and then reinstall) but it won't even uninstall it.
Is there any way I could get the Original Files back? (Download them for example) I would really like to finish the game.. :(

I have completely messed up my new Thief3.. (I bought it today) :cheeky:
After a few hours of "messing up" I got rid of those new features I don't like: arrow trails etc.. Then I installed the tweaker,(v1.2) and disabled the blue frobbing glow-thing.
And now I cannot enable it again. :tsktsk:
I really want to do that because now Garrett glows in the dark.
(well, that doesn't matter so much, I usually play from 1st person)
Well, also some other little objects glow strangely now. (at least some arrows)
Also, I have read that after disabling the dynamic frobbing-glow, some objects may become unfrobbable.
So the question is, can I turn it on again, and how could I do that?
(For some reason, Restore default settings-button does not work.)
Try working with the settings in this section of the Default.ini
FrobBiasRaycastType=2 should be the default. Make sure it's not 0.
// For purposes of frobbing
[FrobOptions]
;0 => Raycast vs. visible geometry only (fastest)
;1 => Scale bounding box by frob bias (no add'l memory, slightly slower)
;2 => If frobBias is 0, raycast vs. visible geometry. Otherwise, scale
; bounding box by frob bias (no add'l memory, slightly slower)
;3 => Create unique triangles for each object and extrude by their
; frob bias * normal (most memory, most accurate, slowest)
FrobBiasRaycastType=2
MinEdgeSize=16
MaxSizeForSlowdown=16

Updated the guide with the handful of tweaks that have been submitted recently. Hope I didn't miss any.
Anyone know where those screenshots were for the retro-style menus? Can't seem to find them again...

Anyone successfully put the old loot pickup sound in yet? I know there was a problem or something with the format, that Thief only played silence instead of the new sound.

I was wondering how hard it would be to replace the main menu graphic with the scene of Garrett that shows up during the initial loading of the game. I like the idea of the cityscape for the menu, but the one used seems much lower res than the picture of garrett against the skyline used during loadup.

could you change the above to colours for me ? or explain how to do it ? thx
Divide each by 255 to get the percentage ratio (which is what the 0-1 number is). :idea: The numbers for bright green (I already tried them briefly and they look good) are 0.57, 1.00, 0.34. Enjoy! :)
