hello is there any way i can get thief 3 working on windows 7 32 bit home premium i instal the game and when i try to open it it loads for a while and then stops it doesent even enter the game i have tryed to run as win xp sp 2 and instaled the v 1.1 patch also i stoped DEP from blocking it but it doesent change anything
i have a 1 core 2,2 Ghz procesor (i heard there are problems with dual or more cores but i have 1), 3 GB DDR 2 and my video card does suport pixel shader can you help me please

well I havent tried any Thief games on W7 yet but intend to over the next few days.. I have a great tool called "nHancer" for getting old games to work on new systems. Google it and see if it helps.. it is only for nVidia cards though and for ATI there is a different tool being made.. it is still in beta.
I got Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 working with the tool and it even removed the graphical glitches from using the widescreen MOD.
If that doesnt help just try googling "Thief 3 windows 7" and im sure you will find your answers..

i will try it now thx for the info i would love for it to work ist my fav game and win 7 is my fav system its like their gelous at one another
i did google thief 3 win 7 and thats how i found out thief doesent want to work on win 7 i have found some tricks to make it work but none workedd for me some of them required stoping DEP, changinf registryes and setting up a new ssasve folder for the game but nada

well the program doesent work for me i have a onboard video card and its not made by nvidia though i thought it was, so you can try to see if thief 3 works for you i wish you good luck

The problem is that on-board graphics are generally not good enough to enable Thief 3 to run at all. If I recall correctly, the on-board graphics needs to be able to display Pixel Shader v.1.1, which most of them don't do.
