There's no such command in the FleshWorks Wiki, I just keep my copy of T3UI.ini with HudWindow set to Invisible.
Same here, hopefully I still have the copy. I'd need 1680x1050 as a resolution.

I uploaded a new version to YouTube yesterday, this version contains changing glyphs during the quote section and I've also added some extra sound effects. Not sure if the glyphs detract too much from the words on the screen, but as they are a rather important feature of Deadly Shadows I think it's a nice addition.

I think this is to be the final structure for all the mission briefings. I'll finish this one up and start to work on Rutherford Castle this week, hopefully.

The glyph idea is nice but they do seem a bit attention-diverting... Would it be possible to fade between them? Having them change at a slower rate could also help.

I've ported the old assembler resolution patch to the opt version. (I have today off and this is much more interesting than what I had planned to do.) I'm going to attempt to port the widescreen FOV compensation as well while I'm at it.

IMHO glyphs wouldn't be too appropriate for Hammerite and Pagan quotes in the first place. However, taking the existing faction intro movies and making short versions of them (only the part leading up to their symbol, just like T1 has these long intro movies which get shortened soon afterwards) would probably be too big a task, wouldn't it? As a compromise I could imagine making the respective faction glyphs float and fade in the background.
Or...as a more radical change for the quote sections: Do you think using the faction intro videos (and maybe the game's trailer/intro or epilogue movie for the "City" quotes) as a base could work? I mean take e.g. a few ultra-slow-mo scenes or stills from (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJfnO2cFB0E) here (the gears at the beginning, the cast relief at the end etc.) and put the quotes on them?

I was afraid you'd say that... :( But I agree. I'll move the glyphs to the first and last three seconds of the quote intro, so that they don't interfere too much.
Belegs idea of using the movies is intriguing as well, the image quality might be too low though. I'll look into it, I have a day off as well ;)

So I whipped up two new briefings (one partial version) using material from the cinematics. Haven't gotten around to the Pagan version yet.
The dimensions of the original movies are a bit of a problem, that's why the hammer is moved slightly to the center near the end of the glyph introduction. Timing could be a bit tighter in both versions as well.

It's apparently not allowed to post two videos in one message so here's (

That's surprisingly nice, considering the quality of those original videos. :)
Here's an (
https://copy.com/PI3DsqitzSRsZ1XV) updated editor SU. The 'opt' exe now has basic fullscreen like the game exe, with correct FOV (i.e. same vertical FOV in widescreen as in 4:3 modes).
The HUD stretching etc. is not fixed, which means that there may be some slight problems with text changing size or disappearing. (At least it doesn't crash in these cases anymore.)

What have you changed to make it invisible?
Judith on 12/1/2015 at 23:26
In the [HUDWindow] section i changed Active=INACTIVE (you can also enter values like INVISIBLE or simply NOT). One thing though, if you hit escape and get back to the game, the HUD will re-appear. If you need more "permanent" solution, change the scale XYZ to 0 in [LightGem] section and set the CompassWindow to INVISIBLE.

I worked on the intros a bit more and made a Pagan version. Also, I've shortened the glyph intros to a length comparable to that of The Dark Project. No need to see half a minute of the same footage each time a briefing is started.

(

(

Both the Hammer and Keeper version have too much black screen after showing the glyph, but overall I quite like the result of using footage from the original cutscenes. I'll see if I can make the sound mix during the Keeper glyph intro a bit more interesting. The cutscene has the sound of a sliding drawer during that segment, for example.

Hmmm. I personally preferred your original versions. They're clean, simple and classic looking...although I can understand wanting to tie the movies into Deadly Shadows visually. Still, much prefer the cleaner look.
