Of course I installed it right away. Very, very cool to see this coming together! With the GUI of the Minimalist Project it almost feels like "vintage" Thief.
Some remarks:
- Panning is a bit jerky, especially noticeable during the rotation of objects. Is this something in the videos or due to ffmpeg? Otherwise I need to see if other export options remedy this somewhat.
- Would it be possible to show the Objectives tab instead of the briefing transcript after the video has ended? Thief 1 and 2 did that as well, if I recall correctly.
- I need to go over the audio tracks once more, some parts don't sync that well. The 200ms lag you've mentioned is gone now, snobel?
- The Hammer background video accelerates and decelerates in the first few seconds, need to fix that.
- Some of the stills don't have right contrast level (like the burning brazier in The Sunken Citadel), have to tweak it a bit.

Hmm, I haven't noticed - looked rather smooth to me, so it's probably not the encoding. I'll try some other hardware. It's possible I have vsync off, maybe that would make a difference.

That's a nice idea - I'll have a look.

Yes, I hope so - it's now comparable to the Bink playback as far as I can tell.

It's the first time I tried the movies on my gaming machine, which is quite beefy, hooked up to my TV. I'll try the files in VLC to see if it makes a difference.
I'd like to go over the movies one more time to remedy some of the issues I've seen. Hope that's OK.

IMHO the videos look great ingame. The stutter in the rotating pans is less noticeable than with the MPEGs which I checked last time.
I'd also support the idea to get to the objectives screen after watching the briefing.

Luckily the objectives thing was relatively easy. Here's a (
https://copy.com/Ew14RKhHHhIkh9mN) new beta - a standard edition, so keep the mods when asked. After installation, go to the Briefing Videos options page in the tweaker and enable the new tweak. (In the final it'll be enabled by default, of course.)
