Hi All. I'm looking forward to having a go with the Thief 3 editor but after installing the editor into Thief3 when I click on the exe file I get this message 'You must launch the Thief deadly shadows editor from T3.exe with the "editor" command line argument. I don't understand what I have to do to get the editor to work???? can anyone please explain what this message wants me to do.:erg:

I just use the T3 Launcher. It takes care of setting up the registry, too. Nice for running a dual install which allows me to keep a clean platform for testing.

Or rather ask/PM snobel for possibilities to avoid ThiefLauncher (which seems to have problems with the new registry thing in Vista/Win7 and/or 64bit...at least I think that's why it won't work on my machine). Basically you need one original Thief 3 setup and at least one copy of it upon which the T3Ed zip file is extracted (basically like in Komag's Tutorial: (
http://www.shadowdarkkeep.com/downloadst3.htm)). What ThiefLauncher did was to "switch" between T3 and T3Ed in the registry in declaring (sort of) which directory was the original. After that it started T3.exe in the editor install with the editor command which looks like this (in German, though; "Verknüpfung" means short-cut):

This makes it possible to have multiple editor installs, each thinking it's the only one, and you need only a short-cut with the editor command as displayed above.

I'll be posting patches for the editor executables in a week or so. If anybody wants them before that, PM me.
