Thief 3 bug help please!

I'm having this bug / glitch in Thief 3, Every time I run the game and start playing I constantly Walk to the side. I'm not pressing any buttons or anything like that. And when I try to scroll down in a text box like in the options or in the mission briefing it scrolls back up to the top of the box, this is really annoying because I bought this game a couple of days ago and I want to play it.

Anyone have any idea how to fix it?

sorry, I don't know I havn't got around to playing Thief 3 much yet. I would say check the tech tips sticky thread....sounds like something i've heard before...

If you have a joystick but don't want to use it, then unplug it. If you want to, then center all of its analog controls and knobs and remap keys in options.
