I don´t get it, i have a better video card (ATI 1Gb), a recent motherboard and processor...etc. and yet when playing thief 2 it feels like i was playing it in my old pc of 64 mb video card. Am i missing some patch?
how can i improve this issue?
thanks in advance.

Yes, i got DDfix installed, the missions only run slower when there is to many objects and lights, big open spaces, it´s like i was playing with a video card of 16 mb.

Are these fan missions or original missions?
I've found a couple of the FMs run slowly pretty much no matter what setup you have, it's just too much for the Dark Engine to handle.
What specific ATI model do you have? I have a HD4550 and it works great.

Which 'latest videocard ATI' will make a big difference. If I were to, say, force 16x AA and super-high-quality on all settings on my video card, then it would get slower, because although it is a new ATI card, it is not a high-end ATI card.
Come to think of it... look at your videocard settings and turn quality down a bit. Does that help?

Alright, i´ll try it, will that settings decrease the recent games performance?

Yes, turning quality settings up will reduce game performance, particularly antialiasing on low-mid range cards. Turn all the quality settings down in your graphics card control panel.
