Thief 2 on Windows 7?

I will give It another go, but to be frank I been trying for ages (Most of a year) to get my pig of a machine to do what I want and havent been getting anywhere fast. (Just not as computor savay as I would like to be)

If I get it working again there will be cyber hugs for eveyone. (I will have to work that one out to, lol)

Download all 4 archives to some temp dir. Use Powerarchiver (it's way better than Winzip or Winrar), unpack the .zip archive, it will automatically unpack the .z01, .z02 and z03 archives. You'll see everything you need to play Theif games. There's instructions how to make it work.

It works fine on every computer, I've done it. Taffer all the way! Enjoy :)

The links are dead. I have a big problem to get Thief 2 to start,
it just crashes imigetly when i try to start the game.

It does say that it needs testing for win7 however.

Anyway, thanks to DDFix, T2 is running fine, so far, and I'm about to play fms again after two years away.

I got a new computer.. Hp Pavilion dm4, if that matters for any reason and i tried to play thief 2. When i put in the CD the menu shows up to ask me to: install, install DirextX, and 3 others things. When i tried to click on those 2 nothing ever happens :(

So I assume you are on windows 7 then?

First, try installing from the (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/What-happened-to-the-Run-command) Run command.

type in the run box d:\setup.exe -lgntforce where "d:\" is the name of your CD drive. (That's a lowercase L, not a 1 in the "-lgntforce" statement.)
