Hi everyone,
Please forgive me if I'm posting on the wrong forum!
I have Thief 2 in the cd case and copied and installed the game on my C: drive.
I can do everything from boot the game to play BUT no intro scene and when I find the scroll in the bed opposite Genevieve's locked room (I think) no image shows.
I haven't used any fix.
I do have the game ticked for "Run as admin" however.
What am I missing?

It sounds like you're missing necessary fixes for modern computers. Both GOG and Steam versions come with NewDark installed; the base game from the original CD does
not use NewDark, so it will have all kinds of problems on modern systems.

I wish The Dark Mod creators would make another Thief game under a different title like Gloomwood is.

What do you mean? Gloomwood is far from being Thief. And The Dark Mod is already quite Thief-inspired, no? Based on vids I've seen of Gloomwood, TDM seems far more Thief-like than Gloomwood.
So if TDM was called Gloomy Shadows would that all the sudden make it better? Maybe I'm just not following :)

Hi Darkness Falls,
What I mean is that Gloomwood seems to use the same engine as Thief but has added some more elements to it. I want another Thief game to be released but with modern graphics and same game mechanics, etc.
Dark Mod is an interface, not a complete game and I do appreciate all the work that went behind it and which continues on it too.
That's all I mean,

Oof. Gloomwood is built on Unity. It technically shares absolutely nothing with Thief's engine.

Hi Stefos, did you play Dark Mod before? Lots of missions and some campaigns to choose from, but maybe it's a highly-polished 16 mission campaign in TDM that would achieve what you'd like?
TDM is much more than an interface, and has some things that could be improved here and there, for sure, but a lot of pieces are already there for what you describe, in my opinion. And it's constantly evolving with improvements. If you've never tried it and only watched videos of it, I think you should try :D
