I'm trying to run Thief 2 in Windows 7.
I tried compatability settings for Win 98 and Win 95.
Everything runs fine, videos play and everything, but it fails to start the first mission.
I have tried all the different resolution settings and fog on and off.
After you read the brief and select Start Mission the screen goes black and hangs indefinitely.
Anybody had any luck getting Thief 2 working?

Thief 2 works just fine in Windows 7. You shouldn't need to use any compatibility modes, unless you're running the 32-bit version of Windows 7, in which case running in XP Service Pack 3 compatibility mode is advisable.
You won't get cutscenes unless you run as an Administrator and have the codecs registered, but you said they work for you.
