I want to play thief 2 but the head bobbing makes me feel a bit sick. Does anyone have a guide on how to fix this? I'm not used to the PC scene so I'd like a comprehensive step by step guide.

In cam.ext.cfg (a file in your Thief directory which you should open with a text editor):
Quote:
; head bob scale factor (a value between 0 and 1), useful if the head bobbing is causing motion sickness
;bob_factor 0.3
; weapon bob scale factor in shock (a value between 0 and 1), also useful against motion sickness
;shock_gun_bob_factor 0.2
Play around with different values here, and see which works best

If you're unfamiliar with PCs it may not be clear what Azaran's comment means, but it depends on what you
do know. I just found this video tutorial that explains in general how to edit files with notepad:
(
https://www.top-windows-tutorials.com/editing-configuration-files-notepad/)
also, remove the
; from the beginning of
;bob_factor 0.3 line.

having no bob can be game breaking in some areas you have to bob down a bit when crouched to get in to a tight area, not sure if by removing the bob if it sets garrett higher then with the bob turned on?
like a vent/etc

That's a good point but one of the NewDark changes was to reduce the player's crouching height to reduce the chances of getting stuck in such situations.
