I don't think there's enough information to make a proper set of T2G missions. There's not much info on the stories and the missions are very basic.

I remember this project. It certainly makes for a cool idea, but when you get down to looking at the kinds of missions there isn't much to get energetic about.
A museum mission would have to compete with TDS's Still Life with a Blackjack and there would need to be a good story hook with the overarcing plot.
The College mission would work nicely as a detective-style mission, though the mission's impact on the larger game plot is limited. Also I'm not sure what would be particularly appealing about the level from a dromeder's perspective since its just a simple private college. No magic or secret knowledge here just build out a rich place - seems tedious to me.
The Undead mission is the worst one here sense it would have be an exceptionally good horror mission and attempt to create something that feels canonical from what few rudimentary details we have for it. Lots of scrutiny.
The Hammerite chapel is definitely easier from a build perspective, but suffers from the same canonical pressures as above.
The Slums is probably the only mission here that would be interesting to develop partially because it features an aspect of the city that we know reasonably well (especially from readables in T1 and T2) but at the same time haven't explored in depth. There is also no canonical pressure here, since nothing in this mission impacts the larger plot beyond some foreshadowing and doing the "show" as opposed to more "tell" approach we observe in TMA. This gives a dromeder a lot more flexibility in development of the mission's individual details and goals. This mission also has a lot more details known about it from original devs.
For a T2G project to work. It would need a project leader/producer with a strong vision, a more conservative approach to the story, and some healthy dromed experience. Beyond that you need a couple of good voices and several (4-5) experienced dromeders who have a strength in crafting their "assigned mission".

I read in the archived Developer's Announcements forum that T2G was shipped to Eidos. Technically speaking Eidos has (or had) the four new missions and possibly the undead mission. I know this is a long shot but would T2G ever be released on Steam?
Yandros on 11/7/2018 at 11:06
Assuming that is actually accurate, and (here's the longshot) Eidos still has it, I doubt they would be interested in releasing it. If anything it seems like they might have done it during TDS or Thiaf development to build some public interest or goodwill with the fanbase. It seems more likely that someone like NightDive or GoG would try to get their hands on it and release it, if it even exists any more.

John, where specifically did you see that reference? Considering the state of the missions that Digi released, it seems very unlikely that these missions were actually finished. He specifically states:
Quote:
The files for the undead mission were lost sadly, but we have the others in their most complete form (that still exists).
This was supposed to be from an ex-LGS dev too. Maybe they wouldn't have had the final version, but you'd think they'd have a version that was much more complete than the ones that got released here.

(
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4853) T2G Announcement
This was posted by EvilSpirit aka Tim Stellmach. If the link doesn't work you can see this post by clicking on the Vault forum at the very bottom of the TTLG forum page. Click on Developer's Announcements and set the parameters from 'last month' to 'beginning' and then click on 'Show Threads.' This post should be the last one on the page.
My thinking is that they completed the missions and shipped them to Eidos, but only the early versions had been backed up and stored elsewhere before LGS shut down. The undead mission might have been started after this specific backup was made. This is a theory of mine but I can see someone at LGS making a backup and then incidentally taking the backup home & forgetting about it. Anyway I believe that there is a complete set out there somewhere.

Your link is actually a reference to Thief 2 "(
https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Gone%20Gold) going gold" which just means that the game has been finished and has been sent to the publisher to distribute. So it's referring to Thief 2, not Thief 2 Gold. The dates make sense too, as EvilSpirit posted on March 13rd, and T2 was released on March 23rd.

Ok the post was a little bit confusing especially at 4:00 am :D
ZylonBane on 12/7/2018 at 09:25
Narrator: It was not confusing.
Yandros on 12/7/2018 at 10:26
To be fair, it could easily be confusing to anyone who isn't familiar with software development life cycle terminlology.
