The following text contains some very minor spoilers for the FM Insanity's Crescendo. Infact so minor that they really arent spoilers at all but this notice is just in case.
Hello,
I'm having a problem with Insanity's Crescendo. I dont get any additional objectives.
I should get one concerning the fire gem from the notice near Benny. Also I should get one from the double doors leading to bedroom. Infact I dont get any new objectives at all but getting inside the mansion does get completed when I get inside. The mission creator Haplo tried my savegame which was saved right before the fire gem notice and he did get the new objective fine. He sent me the quicksave made after that and I ran to the doubledoors. Still didnt get new objectives so the bug must be local.
EDIT: Haplo told me that I have to open the doors :D So I did and I got the objective about disabling the forcefield which me and the guards could walk thru.
I tried a fresh vanilla install of thief 2 and that didnt help.
Does anyone have any idea on this mysterious problem?
I'm using Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate and GarrettLoader 1.42. Also I tried DarkLoader 4.3.
Thief is modded with ddfix and widescreen mod. Fog is turned on but I also tried with fog off.
Also tried loading the mission via GarrettLoader and then starting the game from the exe shortcut in windows xp sp 3 compatibility mode.
ps. naturally the ghost in the King's Story mission 1 is blackjackable but as that is not a mission critical bug it doesnt matter as much but these might be related so I'm mentioning it here

Actually it is not a problem with the objectives, but with the NVScript not running properly. Basically none of the scripting elements that use NVScript function (NVRelayTrap, NVItemGiver,NVLinkBuilder,...), as if the NVScript.osm module did not exist in the players Thief 2 directory. I have checked with him and he has the correct file with the correct size and date.
I don't have Win7 (and have never used Vista) so I don't have any experience with using scripts under it. If anyone has any suggestions please let us know.

Rebooting fixed the problem :D
