Is there a spoiler list of keys somewhere?
32 pages of thread is a bit to search through. Don't want to spoil the whole game
Can someone help?
I thnk clearing is taffing with you ;) - I don't think there is a summary list for all the key locations.
The number of keys in the mission and how/where you get them depends a fair bit on the difficulty level you're playing (maybe
12 or so by the end) but it's not a big keyhunt mission really. All those locked doors early on can be a bit frustrating but most keys you will
find pretty easily or get given as the mission develops. There are a couple of exceptions and one key (to do with the
water system is important early on to allow you to progress. Have you found that one?
EDIT: Oh I see you have that key already from an earlier post - you need to use that key
in the kitchen and then repair use the dumbwaiter to get to the upper floors for more keys.

That didn't help much. I was looking for a list of places where the keys to all the doors are found

How do you fix the dumbwaiter? It's making an awful racket :cheeky:

I am playing on Allegro on a slower machine that has an older AMD 1.73 Ghz speed processor with 1.2 Ghz of RAM using a 128 MB 6600 GT graphics card.
I figured if I just knocked out enough of the guards and servants within the game set with a low detail sky and at 800x600 resolution I could get through much of the game at an acceptable frame rate by saving from the first start and shutting down the game then starting over. The less guards and servants walking around, the better the frame rate.
This manner of play has worked for the most part, and I got through the mountains with out much difficulty once I knew which way to go through them to Harold's Castle turned off the alarm and got inside.
I am currently past the part where a new objective has been outlined to stop William Anger from his plot to spoil a wedding among other things.
After gettng Anger's apartment key from the box on King Harold's night stand I then go down to there, unlock the door at his apartment and the game crashes.
Could this have something to do with one of the people I may have knocked out?
Or is there a patch, file, or setting that I might possibly be missing?
Among the servant's and guards I have knocked out are the Valet, and possibly the chamberlain who was near the engineering area towards the beginning of this chapter, and one other fellow who was not a guest but seemed to have importance as an upper level velvet clothed servant in the kitchen, where I thought he was the kitchen chief of some sort.
Before the objective change, I had lured a steel helmet guard near the King into another room and knocked him out with a gas arrow. I noticed a man with a top hat with King Harold. Is this the doctor?. Both the King and the man in the top hat were left unharmed.
It has been a nice game experience overall, but I wish I could get past this game crashing at the unlocking of William Anger's apartment.
I do have saves at earlier within the chapter where I could start over before any higher status servants were blackjacked.
Let me know if there is anything I can do to get further within the game.
Thank you ahead of time if anyone can help.

Odd, there is a bit of speech that is triggered in his bedroom. But not at his door until near the end.

The problem is definitely with one of knockouted persons. You are allowed to KO them, but you aren't allowed to stack bodies!!! (See KSReadme file.)
What to do? There are two possible solutions.
1) Fix yourself: check all hidden bodies and replace those of them which are lying one onto another.
2) Send me your save file before Anger's door (via E-mail) and I'll fix the problem with editor.

Thank you, Zontik.
I do have KO'd bodies stacked, so I will try that first. It will add some time to what is already a considerable amount played within the game.
If that does not solve the problem, then I will see if it has something to do with memory allowances.
I remember seeing something in a sticky at the top of this forum about an .ini file to be placed into the windows folder for proper play on the Thief 2 games.
I have never had to use that .ini file before on any other FMs, so I figured I probably did not have to use it.
Since this FM is slightly memory intensive, that could be a possibility of having something to do with it.
If that still does not solve the problem then I will see if I can send a save file from that point at Anger's door.
