BTW:
Was anyone able to get over the fence w/ the rabbit? I tried to ignore the warning but gravity didn't allow it and I couldn't find a crate. You can reach it if you
jump from the castle path + the slowfall, but mission fail if you do. :ebil:

I can see why people are frustrated about help on this massive thread (on top of frustrations in the game  ) but since there are many different variants of playing Mission 2 - plus locations of crucial items/keys slightly different to each difficulty it is very tough for anyone other than the beta testers and the author to always give sound advice.
For many that have managed to finish - me included - I am sure they will help where they can but when asking for help please bear in mind
a) they probably only know the option path they've been down
b) remembering all the twists/choices they've taken on that path isn't always instantaneous (well for me :) )

I just finished it in Largo. :) I would like to say congratulations and many thanks to Zontic for a stunning mission design and playing experience. Like others, though, I thought Mission 2 was a little too hard in places.
Mission 1 was relatively simple and relaxed. With a little help I eventually figured out how to unlock both doors, and I got the secret. I saw comments here about getting higher. I spent a long time hunting for objects to do that, but never found one. Finally the "parabola" idea dawned on me.
Mission 2 was a whole different experience. I barely got through it with 2310 loot (2300 needed) and only 2 of 13 secrets. On my own I got the elevator sequence, spoiling Anders' premier, the highest point, and the Doctor's nasty surprize. I am a ghoster at heart, but I sensed difficulty early on, so I BJ'ed all the AI I could. Even with clearing the path, I needed help from this forum to figure out several things:
Shooting the key
That I needed to lock up the doctor
How to solve the throne room puzzle
That I needed to place a potion mixture on the pedestal in Anger's hideaway. The notch looked like it would receive the baton, and I did not know or remember about the potion.
Where is the oak door in the "third floor hallway" to access the construction (it wasn't a hallway to me - it was a grand foyer)
I never did figure out the Strange message.
One of the design problems, I think, was the need to understand and remember the subtitles of several conversations. I did not take notes, but I probably should have. With play spread over three days, I could not remember the details. The subtitles were not always easy to read. My suggestion would be to back up the conversations with some readables that appear after the conversations.

I never did figure out the
Strange message. Took me a while to comprehend:
Triangle shapes and square shapes ... two essential things that no thief should be without.

Thanks, Little_Draggon. I feel stupid to have missed that. :) So now that is 100 more loot.

Thanks Zontik, when I played the first time through I hadn't realised fully what was going on in that scene when the metronome started nor the choice that was being asked of me. In fact had forgotten it! When I got there this second time it all made sense - I knew the crown was there even though for me it was actually hidden behind the ark when the metronome started! Should finish on this ending soon :thumb:
I still hadn't until I read this thread and that's after two reloads to 'undo' using the gas arrow on different people... (why include a gas arrow if using it ****'s up finishing the level)
... first time through I was spending more time trying to figure out what to do about the "help me" in the
mirror... Which I assume is nothing...
After taking a day away from trying this one - Going back FOUR reloads I FINALLY got through the performance, locked dumbass in the
stalls - though now I'm running around with no objective hints to tell me what to do, and half the spoils in this tread making no sense... Like the
tincture in the doctors office I have no clue what I'm supposed to do with that. I see mention of
mixing something, but I've got nothing to mix that with - still
can't get into the chapel not that I'm even sure you are supposed to, nor does the
strange block in anger's hidden room do a damned thing - and the
phonograph won't frob even with the record...
Part two is annoyingly frustrating when it comes to "Just what the **** am I supposed to do next"... It's a very pretty level, but the gameplay leaves a LOT to be desired. (and this is from someone who found ANIR part one easy, and even found all the keys without help)
Of course, when it comes to the
slippers they don't frob, and then after like six random clicks in their general area Garret goes into saying "nope nope nope" in a endless loop, and then the game crashes.
Though at least I've not had the performance/frame rate/memory issues others are reporting; but then I've got 8 gigs of RAM on Win 7 x64 with a pair of GTX 260 in SLI - I've yet to have a thief fan mission bring this setup to it's knees on performance.
About the Easter Egg, where you crack the egg and get the 'item' (i am been intentionally vague here so as to not spoil it), do I use this at the end in my confrontation with Anger? And why is the Easter Egg not triggerable later on in the mission? This is a bad idea, what happens if people at the end of the mission wanna go back and get it? I had to reload a MUCH earlier save just to take a look at it, which means if i want the Easter Egg i now have to replay half the mission.
The Slippers in the bride's quarters, I can't get them either. Garrett, keeps saying, he doesn't think so. Can't say I blame him. :cheeky:
thanks for that clearing!
I've edited my post to make it more vague. :D
Damn, usually when i play a mission i try to be as complete as possible, visit all areas, nab everything, get all weapons, all secrets, complete, get everything, do everything possible, but it appears due to there been mutiple endings, you cannot 'do' everything as such.

Frob it, and
frobbing again.
