Clueless in stable on Largo difficulty:
I got past the wedding cut scene and got the stable key. Now i'm supposed to trap the doctor in the stable somehow, but i have no clue what to do. I have found the shoe polish and when i apply it to the horse the doctor comes along, but then what?
Lock the good doctor in while he's distracted. But relieve him of his possessions first. Remember, he has a stable key, too.
Shadows, you mixed wedding and premiere, two different events. You're talking about premiere.
Well, you've seen one alternative end. Now find another green Score book (different locations on different diff. levels - check both library and King's study), go back to Anger's apartments and place this book on the stand where the score was.
Also, how to trigger conversation between King and doctor:
You've seen the secret door in the passage. The switch is on the ceiling, close to the lamp.
Enter there BEFORE you get the valet's key.

Stuck. Once again.
I really can't do this mission without someone holding my hand. All I do is run around after getting one tiny step further, clueless. :( Trapped the doctor in the stable. Went to his study. Found documents about the King's madness. Saw some yellow liquid but it does nothing. Still have no idea what the switch in the attack did. Found two music notes (Parlour/Shoe Room) Can't find any other music notes in the music room. Don't have a clue what the candle key does. Throne/Wedding room only has a statue that moved when I approached it on the lower floor. Otherwise - nothing that gives me a hint as to what I should be doing next. Other than the 'Verse' readable, but even that doesn't help.
The good Doctor put a lot of effort into collecting that condemning evidence against the king. It'd be a shame if something unfortunate were to happen to it ....

The candle key opens a cabinet in the King's study (room 21), near where you found it. It reveals an additional clue regarding the Throne Hall.
You wouldn't believe how many locks I tried before I remembered that #@&% cabinet.

The yellow liquid will only prove useful
after you solve the Throne Hall puzzle.
@Dainem and anyone else using Win7 32bit and having problems:
In The Editor's Guild, Sensut has reported that enabling WinXP SP3 compatibility mode on Thief2.exe seems to fix issues with NVScript not working properly in Win7 32bit OS. I haven't read through this thread in detail as I don't want to spoil the mission for myself, so don't know if it's been mentioned here yet, but thought I should post this info here.
@Moderators: If we continue to get evidence supporting this workaround, we probably will want to add it to the FM FAQ.

Yeah, the mission looks great but the gameplay is, personally, very fustrating. I'm thinking about putting this on hold for a while - I'm not sure. I've also messed up my later saves and got myself in a really sticky situation. I have an older one which is before
the music scene so I might restart from that point so that the
guards aren't getting in my way so much after the murder. It's very difficult to avoid having to blackjack every one at that point.

I skulked around in this castle for just over seven hours. The frustration level was certainly high, so I can't say that I enjoyed every minute of it, but I felt insufferably pleased as I eventually solved each puzzle and surmounted every obstacle.
Only managed to find four secrets, though.
Having played Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within over a decade ago, I was amused by the many nods to that earlier game.
Favourite unintentionally-creepy moment:
I'd been coshing people all night, hiding their bodies in convenient dark places, as I am often wont to do. At one point, I found myself back in the Doctor's quarters, and suddenly realised that the comatose guard I'd dumped in the bathroom was no longer there. I can only assume that he'd simply woken and redeployed when Harold mobilised the guards to search for Anger.

Wait till you check out the elevator.
Must have hurt the guy.

I'm completely out of ideas as far as where to go next...
I just left Anger's secret underground lair, switched the score, and came face to face with the guy (only to find that he is immune to broadhead arrows to the back of the head). I'm assuming the next place I have to go is the chapel, but I can't find where it is. I'm pretty sure I've tried every key in my possession of every locked door in the level...little help here?
I should also probably mention that I never found any "candlestick key". Where was I suppose to find it?
