Ok so I thought I'd try and get Thief 2 running on my win 7 system all goes well at first and at about 42% I get this error saying could not copy d:\thief2\RES\snd.crf to c:\games\Thief2\RES I acn't seem to find anything about this and can't finish the install.
Odd thing is this is a orginal disc I bought back when T2 came out, and I've used it quite a few times, is it a case of the disc is knackered? it has a few marks on it but nothing deep or nasty that I can see.
Shall I just go and buy another copy from ebay or is there anything else I can try? anyone any ideas?

try to clean the cd,try to use another dvd drive (or another pc),or try to make an image file with some tool that can do it (can't really remember the last time I have used one of those,magiciso it was I think? hmmm).with a bit of luck,you will get through the problematic part.
as for buying the game again,yes,you can do that as well.

have given it a few good cleans, it seems like there is a very small patch of pin prick light showing through the disc:o so I think at some point it got damaged and whatever I try it aint going to work! I've gone and bought a sold out copy from play so will try that when it arrives:D
