Thief 2 Curse of the skull goblet

I believe I am experiencing a glitch in the above mentioned level of Thief 2. I am at the end of the mission. Captain Davidson appears to be zapping some unfortunates deep in a cave. As I watch in a passageway I find I cannot move but maybe one step forward or one step back. I can't go anywhere. In a walk-through Garrett enters and goes on to solve his mission. I cannot move. As I said I believe this to be a glitch and so I am wondering if there is a fix or someway to advance the game beyond my present inability to progress. Thanks for any constructive advice or help.:confused:
