As a result, I'm forced to try my luck with the bindings in user.bnd, but that's only been half-successful.
When I click on Control Configurations in Thief 2, it crashes. The same things happens for resolution. This is highly annoying because I want to change the controls for Thief 2.
Can someone help, or at least tell me what I need to edit in user.bnd?

Windows 7. I can run the game itself just fine, but the control menu crashes the game.

Do you have Ddfix installed? Normally, ddfix fixes those crashes. You just go into the ddfix.ini and enter 1 in the multicore fix option (I'm just guessing, but I assume your pc is a multicore? That might be the problem). Also try installing Tafferpatcher and see if it works. I had the same problem but with Thief Gold when I first installed it on my Win7 machine, and it turned out it was just an issue with my dual core system.

If I remember correctly, this happened to me once with Thief Gold, after I installed DromEd in the Thief directory. Re-installing DromEd fixed the problem.
