I'm playing a Thief 2 FM and I am unable to save any more because it's telling me I'm out of disk space even though I know I'm not. I found this in the Thief troubleshooting area, but I wasn't sure if it would work for this particular problem:

Thief is saying it cannot play, because I do not have enough space, even if I have a lot of free disk space: how do I fix this?
Open the file user.cfg found in the Thief directory and add the line skip_starting_checks to it and save it. Please note, it may be necessary to create this file.
Should I just follow this instruction, or is my problem different?
My computer info: Windows 7, Intel Core i7-2600 CPU @3.40 GHz (four core processor)
8 GB of RAM, 64-bit Operating System
Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti

Yes, you should try it. In this case it should solve this problem. If it doesn't then please report back.
