Getting Black Screens on both.
Vista Ultimate
ATI 2600 HD with 8.6 drivers
Dual Core (have affinity patch in place)
Tried with Safe Texture commented and not commented
Have wide screen patch and ddfix
Have not tried doing anything in darkcfg
Menu comes up fine, Movies play and then let the blackness begin

have you tried Cat 8.5 or earlier?
if they are fine, then it looks like Cat 8.6 broke Thief. Check it out.

I NEVER change drivers unless I have a problem. Most "updates" have a tendency to screw you up.

Went back down to ATI 8.5's intro, videos are fine. I get to the menu hit continue to enter the game and the blackness sets in.

Did a new clean install of thief 2 today took off T2X, figured need to get Thief 2 fixed first. The funny part Thief Gold runs but Thief 2 starts up get the initial cut screen, go to the menu, click continue and when it loads nothing but black. Loaded ddfix, have tried processor.bat, used premier patch, have no idea what to do.:mad:
