Hey. I played some Thief 2 with a stereoscopic VR smartphone headset. They're called Cynoculars and are $20 at Wal-Mart.
I used the NVidia Shield streamer from GeForce Experience, TriDef 3D, Moonlight (Android and Apple; it is what the Shield Streamer streams to), and OpenBroadcast Software to record.
Also used Blender to edit the video.

Hmmm... so your experience?
Btw. did you not frob the mask/communicator or are you missing a script?
Also I never realised the sound at 7:00 of the mask that clear

It's a pretty fun experience. The FOV for the headset is only 80 degrees, but still cool. It's a great way to know whether you want to spend more money on a Vive or Occulus.
Yeah, I frobbed the mask and it just didn't work. It has worked before, it was just a glitch that time. And that sound at 7:00 was me. ;)

For people who don't have a 3d gear: You can actually watch this like these stereoscopical side by side images. Reduce the size of the video and move away you head far enough until your eyes can overlap the two images the usual way (you'll find instructions how to do it on the net). Good enough to give a first impression.
P.S.: Urks, I get a headache and get sick after watching that for three minutes. 3d headsets are probably not for me.

Did this with EZ3D and KinoConsole on my WP8 device. On direct WiFi connection I had almost zero noticable latency and it was pretty fun to play with a controller in hand. However, the resolution wasn't the best. Also, since I upgraded to Win10 I couldn't get it to work properly with TriDef...

Interesting to know. Maybe I try this sometimes in the future...
