Just wondering if anyone has the 1.19 versions running on Windows 8 yet?

Thief 2 works just fine for me, so I assume the rest do as well.

Thank you both! I'm downloading the $40 version now .. slight difference from installing Win 3.1 on DOS 5.0! :joke:

Heheh, with recent events I'm sure it'll work. Question is, why would anyone want to use a cellphone interface on the desktop?
Look, I'm not a pure hater of Windows, but Micro$oft has a record of releasing some bad Operating systems. ME, Vista, and possibly 8. It's 40 bucks you might never get back...
(And yes, I did the old $ sign joke with that company. It's the same shtick as most global corporations, except Microsoft is hardly what you'd call an innovator nowadays.)

Yeah, I tend to view M$ releases like Star Trek movies: roughly every other one sucks, but the ones in between are good.
95 sucked, 98 was good. NT and ME were lackluster, XP was great. Vista was bleh, 7 is really good (even though it's technically not much different from Vista... it's basically what Vista SHOULD have been). As for 8? I don't exactly feel compelled to upgrade, especially since i JUST took the plunge from XP to 7 about a few months ago. Also, pattern recognition.
=)

Exactly. Micro$oft does itself no favors by trying to innovate. Doesn't anyone remember Bob? :erm:

Does anyone else find it really difficult not to immediately dismiss even potentially valid points made by people if they insist on putting the dollar sign in Microsoft?

40 bucks is still to much for a new skin, I say.

Look, didn't I just say I realized that? Of course MicroSs-s-soft is like every other lifeless industrialized corporate monger today. My point is that they lack the finesse of their more devillish competitors like Apple or -- or heck, even Starbucks who isn't even a computer company. :p
At this point though, I think Microsoft is thinking they'll just have to release a Windows 9 really fast to reverse the negative reaction to 8, because it will probably happen.
