I have "3D" LCD monitor which makes 3d stereo picture (under nvidia "stereo interlacing") in its native resolution (1680x1050) with simple polarization glasses.
I use latest 3d stereoscopic (=3d vision) driver v182.07 for Vista 64 on 8800GTX (G80).
3D stereo does not render in ThiefG, Thief2, ThiefDS.
Yet first two games are "officially supported" by nvidia stereo driver.
Maybe ddfix or widescreen patch (essential to get native resolution) breaks /postprocesses nvidia "stereo rendering"?
Any ideas how to fix that?

Many people have had success by rolling back the drivers for their newer cards. I have no idea if that would work in this case.

It does not work for me :tsktsk: For Vista (8800 nvidia stereo is only for vista) there were two driver versions afaik, no effect.
Anyone has 3D stereo thief gaming experience ever?

I thought the whole deal with the new Nvidia stereo initiative is that you have to use a 120hz monitor along with their 3d shutter glasses, not simple polarized ones.
Is the monitor you have an iZ3D or a Zalman? If it is the iZ3D you have free use of their driver but if not you can buy the driver off their website. You can also download and try the iZ3d driver for free for a month.
This website is a good place to go to ask questions as they specialize in 3d gaming. (

Good luck and let us know how it goes as I'm sure people around here may be interested in this.

Thank you, Flagston.
It is Zalman and stereo works with other games.
Sure, I will post here once I find out a solution.

Yeah, I just hadn't heard anybody talk about it for nearly 4 years, now:

Maybe something in that thread will apply to your current needs, if you haven't figured it out already.:)
