Haven't had a listen yet, but I'll thank you for your efforts, nonetheless!:thumb:

Should I do something else to get it ?:confused:
(Please don't suggest to "get a premium link"...)

If you don't believe rape can be used in the context of a joke (didn't George Carlin already cover this?),
Imagine Elmer Fudd raping Porky Pig

@AzurioOk, no prob. I'll go see about re-ripping it and uploading it. Watch this space for a link.
@AndarthielThe band is
Subway to Sally, a German "folk/metal" band, I suppose you could say. The song is "
Accingite Vos," from their seventh album, "
Herzblut" (
heart blood), released in 2001.
To save you time, and a massive headache from trying to figure out what it's talking about, let me explain. :)
The lyrics are in a very old form of Latin. Trying to translate them via Google will only cause you major pain of the noodle. They are, in essence, biblical passages, used somewhat out of context to create a new semi-prophetical intent (a hint of doom and gloom, maybe?). The piecemeal passages, taken primarily from the Vulgate text, are from Isiah 53:12 and Joel 1:13, with one line from Jeremiah 25:34 to give it a little extra "oomph." :cheeky: The lyrics are thus:
"Tradidit in mortem animam suam,
et inter sceleratos reputatus est.
Accingite vos
sacerdotes, et plangite
ministri altaris
aspergite vos cinere."
A rough translation would be:
"He delivered his life unto death,
and was despised by the impious.
Priests, vest thyselves in sackcloth;
weep, ministers of the altar,
and cover thyselves with ashes."
The structure of the text also shows that they intentionally made use of the older Latin, with it's slightly different intent, as opposed to simply doing grammatical translations of modern scripture. I mention this because it sets the period somewhat, as those phrases, as given, were used in Station prayer ceremonies dating back to the sixteenth century. Most modern usages have different wording. They were definitely trying to give this tune a "Canticle for Liebowitz" vibe (read=
Olde, and antiquated).
I can't help but picture some Catholic priest with a secret, guilty passion for heavy metal, jamming away in his church, thinking he's alone, the music blaring loudly, his censor swinging wildly and spraying incense everywhere. Well, either that, or visions of Conan sacking the Vatican.
Anywho, I'll upload it shortly. I just discovered that my previous "backup" of the original CD has errors from a bad rip, so I'm going to try to do it all over again at a slower speed and see if I can get a copy without artifacts. Oh, Accingite Vos is track 2, by the way. Figured you'd wanna know, since the tracks aren't titled.
Thanks for that, I am quite fond of Folk Metal since I listen to it quite a lot myself.
Do they have a site?
Pity my comp can't handle Thief:DS. *curses at graphics card for not having Pixel Shading*

Well, it seems I'm unable to download it without spending a dollar or installing software first.:(

I just checked the download links, and it downloads just fine. You shouldn't need to install anything or pay a fee (that fee is only for their "premium" service). Wait time for the "regular" download is only about ten seconds.
One thing I did notice, though, is that on the second step one of the links says to "right click and save as..." but that's wrong, and it'll only get you an html page (the "begin" page that actually triggers the download if you go to it). Just click the link as usual, and the saving can be done on the next page. Weird, but what the heck, it's a free service, so no biggie.
This is kinda neat. They gave me a "secret link" so I can see how many times the file has been downloaded. 33 downloads so far today. :)

Yeah, bunch of 'em. If you can read German, go to either their (
http://www.subwaytosally.de/) official site or their (
http://www.sallysjuenger.de/) official fan club.
If you're restricted to English, I recommend (
http://www.destinationsally.com/) Destination Sally, an excellent English fan site.

I hear ya, and until a couple of weeks ago was in the same boat. I played Thief originally on a standard SVGA card. By the time T2 came out, I'd worked my way up to a spiffy STB Velocity 4400 (16 megs ram, TNT 1.1). That card, which is considered a junker these days, got me through T2, Deus Ex, Half-Life, and a bunch of others. We waited so long for T3 to finally come out, and like you, I still haven't been able to play it. I finally managed to set aside a few bucks, and got a nice, used GeForce card (with shaders) on eBay for fifty bucks, and am working my way back up through the Thief series. Figured I had to start over, right? :) Halfway through T2 now, and am gonna do T2X next before jumping vigorously on T3.
Save those pennies, man. Even 30-35 bucks can get you a nice GeForce card these days, in the 5200-5500 series range, and that'll easily do the job. Check eBay, or check pricewatch.com for good deals.

I had tried every link besides the Premium and the only time it downloaded anything at all was the 107kb file of nothing. The second link only opened the same window again. Unfortunately, I didn't get any message to tell me what was happening. I easily waited for over ten seconds, just in case, especially the first time. So I'm hoping that one of the lucky people can make it available another way. Thanks anyway, Kurgan.:)

@jtr7
Are you seeing the countdown, or were you just waiting in general with a static screen? (You should see small black numerals counting down.) Is your java up-to-date, and/or have you enabled it (or even javascripts)? Which browser are you using? The file is above the http size limit, so once the file is ready to send, you get it via ftp. That shouldn't be a problem, but you should look to the possibility that something isn't configured right, or is either outdated or missing from your system. If I could get through the initial stages and get the direct link for you, I'd do that, but it's timed, and if the download doesn't start within a few minutes, it gets cancelled. Not to mention it needs to be initiated from your own IP (according to the FAQ, the server monitors IPs, so no one can abuse the service and download multiple things at once).

Thanks for the tip, I shall have a loook and see what I can dig up.
Other than that, it's hard to find DS in shops over here in Aus.It's probably not popular enough hence there is no demand for it. But hey I might get lucky. I heard some of the samples from the band and I loved it,very folky.:D
