so the bloom only works with custom maps and thief 2? I thought the post processing effect could be incorporated into thief 1.

I'm gonna give taffer patcher a go, it looks like that might be what I need.

Bloom only works in T2. It's kinda like fog.

Specifically, those features will only work for missions running in the Thief 2 version of Dark. So T1 FMs would also not support them, but T2 FMs and the OMs will. Of course, maybe one day jermi or someone will be able to get them working in T1 missions as well, we can always hope.

That's peculiar, a lot of people think it's not even supposed to work? Bloom does work in T1, it always did because ddfix doesn't even know/care whether we're running T1 or T2.

To get it working, all I have to do is to install the game, extract the latest ddfix and replace the exe with the prepatched one. And of course set Enable=1 in the post processing options.

Well I just beat thief gold, and it was a great game.

However I could never get the bloom to work, I tried reinstalling, extracting the ddifix into my game director and using the custom thief Gold.exe and nothing works.

I hope I can get it to work on thief 2.

Thanks for ddifix btw, it helps make these old games playable on new hardware.

I might try another video driver in the future, I don't know if that could be affecting it. I've been using the newest nvidia drivers. Maybe a roll back is needed.

Bloom's not working for me either, in neither game. I downloaded the latest ddfix, put 1 in Post processing, repatched the .exes, but no luck :(

I got bloom working in thief 2, I used taffer patcher so maybe that has something to do with it.

I'm going to try using the modified version on thief 1 and see if I get any results.
