Hey there. It's been a long time i've not played Thief, and an eternity I didn't play Thief 1. I installed it only to play thief 1 fan missions. The game seems to work fine as long as I fix the hyperthreading each time I play (the permanant method don't work but it dosent bother me to open the processus manager and uncheck one option to play).
The most annoying part is that my game runs in a small windows while I want, for sure, fullscreen.
Changing the resolution in-game dosen't affect the size of the window, and you'll understand that I don't want to play Thief in a very small area of my screen.
I've been trying DDIFIX or something called similar to fix some resolution switching "waiting time" in-game but all my fan-missions just crash, not running at all (anyway, I doubt this thing could help me to make my game fullscreen, but only to kill the waiting time between the game and reading books).
Here is a printscreen of what I see, and how small is that window : (

Any suggestions ?

No I didn't. Thanks for the answer. I'll try this than I call here again if I still have got problems.
EDIT : Installed it but now Thief won't run anymore. A funny error appears : "Thief 2 the metal age has stopped to run and will close...". All i can do is to close.
The funny part is that I'm not playing Thief 2 but Thief 1 so i don't understand that error message at all...

Try installing everything from the beginning (the whole game), a clean install it should work. If not, you can just download the 1.19 Thief 2 patch directly and apply it using the intructions.
The patch uses the Thief 2 exe, that's why you get that message, but it was made for both games.

yeah, as he was trying out fms, there is a high probability that he has already optimized his install, and that would mean the crfs are out of place (1.14 will have a check+info popup for that). a clean install should indeed solve this.
note: if you have a steam version, you will have to manually copy the entire game folder to some location that is not monitored by steam, and patch it an play it from there.

I guess he does not have the Steam version :

probably, but nothing wrong with a little preemptive warning (as we have no idea from what source did he install and what has he done with the game).

Thanks for answers guys, Now my game works like a charm (removed it completly and reinstalled it without any unofficial stuff) but there is still some "important" bug in the game. it's about some of the torches in-game.
Some of them are flying in air, like if teir positions are wrong. It happen to a few of the torches but It is noticable in all the levels, including the fan missions AND the original missions !
Anyone has already heared of a bug such like this ?

Are you using an old save game? Also, how are the torches messed up exactly? Could you post a screenshot?

If they're rotated around 180°, I'll bet that it's somehow using the torches from the T2 portion of the EP in T1. The torch models are rotated 180° from one another.
