I don't think there's any other way in but as far as I can recall, you shouldn't be able to kill that ghost.

Aren't I clever lol. Ooops I wonder how I managed that? I just fired fire arrows at it as I thought it was coming to get me as it walked towards me.
I found that I had saved not far before I killed him so I didn't have to start again thankfully. This has been the hardest one so far I think, this one or mystry man. It serves me right for playing these missions on expert before I normal or hard.
Now I'm stuck on trying to find why the prison is over run with the undead. Where do I find that?

You need the Warden's journal. It's found in a room that is west of the one with the safe.

Its not in there anymore. I have already read it and I put it back on the floor and it's not there now.
How do I keep managing this?

You've discovered a bug that I've never heard mentioned before. I went into the mission and tried it. If you drop the book, it doesn't go to the floor. It starts to float down and when it hits the floor, it just keeps on going right through it! You'll have to restart from an earlier save again, I'm afraid.

I seem to be discovering a lot with this one lol
I have a habbit of saving over one of the save spaces as well as using the quick save. I'll just start again i think :( Oh well, more practice at staying alive
Thank you for your help nightwalker

Is there a version of Bloodstone Prision for Thief II as my computer (run by lovely vista  ) refuses to play any FMs for thief I?

This is an excellent FM and clearly deserves all the praise it received in the past :D. It's not unnecessary large, can be finished in a stealthy way or in a hack-and-slash style, and has a nice variety of objectives. Took me 58 minutes to complete on expert with all
1879 loot collected.
A good job is done in creating an appealing atmosphere; with the patrolling undead, the green flames, and the remains of the people that once occupied the place. The design of the prison convinces, with the visible earthquake damage, signs of neglect, and the overall layout.
Some situations the player comes across are simply classic, like witnessing the faith of poor brother Sebastin. And while the place is obviously very dark and sinister, kfgecko didn't hesitate to put some humorous elements in the game; the names and descriptions of certain inmates made me giggle :laff:
No complicated story but the introduction about Bando and the history of the Jiggiwiddi and St. Judel are very appealing. Good solid texts as well, not just meaningless narratives but containing valuable hints and references to earlier occurences. It all makes sense. Dealing with the main enemy at the end was a nice blast :thumb:
There are some sound issues in the game and it's a mostly linear exercise but these are of little weight in comparison with all the strong aspect of Bloodstone Prison. It probably made even more of an impact at the time it was released (in terms of horror and design) but this gem stood the test of time remarkably well and I really enjoyed playing it. Probably the author's best work.

v1.1 so far has:
- doors between dome of death and cell blocks now swing other way to avoid getting player stuck
- broadheads in weapons check now actually add to inventory
- Sebastin's letter moved RIGHT NEXT TO HIM to make it more obvious who he is
- text spelling/grammar correction
- added more lights so the place isn't so dark
Plans:
- broadhead and rocks supplies near froggies
- I'm still not sure how to fix the occasional killed warden by brute force bug since the goal is a normal "kill target".
- Hide the scepter Bix stole somewhere....
I was wondering about the stolen scepter and if it could be located somewhere in the level. A pity version 1.1 was never released.
