Bloodstone Prison was the most engaging FM I've played so far. Many others came close but this one was, well, special.
Thanks kfgecko!

I've played many, many FM, and Bloodstone never gets old. Still one of my favs and one of the only ones I've played more than once. Great mission.

Just finished it. *gasp*.
WOW, WOW
WOW!!What a magnificent piece of level design. kfgecko, you are a genius. I never usually get this excited about a fan mission, and I
never put more than one exclaimation mark in a sentence! What can I say...(apart from SPOILERS!!)

Lighting- Spot on. Those green lights (which, get this are
explained!, not just put in as a cool effect)create a sinister and evil mood which had me nervously checking out every shadow I saw. Those green blobby showery lights are excellent as well, creating just the right kind of feel for the mission. The glowing on--and-off lighting effects such as the one surrounding the font were sinister and perfect for the mood.
Sound- You used the background music excellently as well, putting exactly the right kind of music to create fear and anxiety in every single location. There was a moment when I was picking a lock to access the guard towers, and as soon as I opened the door I was hit by "Join us, Join us Join us Now!" and a wave of spooky sounds which almost made me jump from my chair

http://www.ttlg.com/forums/ubb/redface.gifStructure- This too was superb. The prison cells deep inside the keep felt like they really were buried beneath an earthquake, the flooding adding to this. I was impressed by the architectural wizardry in the cell with the 'Humongous Diamond' [LOL
Inline Image:
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif] The upper levels really felt like a true Hammerite building, and the chapel you built actually felt like a real chapel , unlike many others I've played through. The outside of the prison was constructed so that it really did feel remote and secluded, and the tree was constructed excellently, doing its job while still looking natural and overwhelming. The level also flowed beautifully, (though the only problem with this is that I didn't really feel how areas like the vault connected with the rest of the level)
Storyline This too, superb. The constant references to characters (who I actually found myself
looking for and
finding!) added a multitude of subplots to the main one, which, by the way, was excellent. Bando was a person you felt you genuinely wanted to work for (his past as a thief certainly helped this) and the objectives believeble and motivating. (Only problem with these though was by the time I'd got hold of the Holy Sword, I'd dispatched of all the undead in thhe level.)
Extra bits- *Jiggiwiddi- LOL!*
*"Mok has recently befriended a frog"- LOL!* (
and there were real frogs!)*That servant- Aaargh!*Those Haunt archers*
I like this mission lots

Agreed

Man, I am playing BloodStone Prison now and KFGecko has left me mezmorized. What a level. I just think that the whole "horror" theme isn't pushed enough. It feels like any "living" level except all the people are dead.
Inline Image:
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif It doesn't feel "haunted" because it is too active and populated, kind of like a community of reall reall old people.
Inline Image:
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif Still, great job KFGecko! I love this level to death (pun not intended).
