What ARE you talking about? If you can't tell if that is a screenshot or not you shouldn't be commenting on game graphics, ever. Better still, get an eye test.

Edit: What's with all that green tint? And the table screenshot - do I see blue highlight on valuables?
You haven't read any of the articles, have you?

Is this supposed to be an in-game screenshot ?
Anyone else who does not believe that this is an in-game screenshot ?
It looks more like concept art. Or maybe pre-rendered stuff.
It's probably a prerendered scene using ingame assets.
...then again, UDK is capable of outputting an image like that, and it is being aimed at next gen consoles and high end PCs. It being a realtime shot isn't out of the realm of possibility.

Now we're all talking about how much Thief 4 looks like Dishonored. And I think there's something kinda hilarious about that.
Well, it's mostly about the parts in Dishonored that
didn't look like Thief. Aside from the basic architecture everything in the screenshots looks far more modern than any previous installment. The clothing now is 20th century, something that no previous title dared to change, not even TDS with its Art Noveau direction expressed in the concept art. Keeping it
more medieval would have avoided the Dishonored analogy which doesn't come from nowhere. Especially for the first two games when the Steampunk genre wasn't as popular as nowadays, people perceived Thief primarily as "something medieval", even if it had traces of more recent history already included (might have something to do with people having no clue about history in general, but anyway).

The blue highlight is the focus mechanism to highlight candles you can put out, loot you can pick up, drawers you should open, etc. We know what it is, and that's a screenshot of it.

Well I guess I could've chosen a better wording then - I understood what it is. It was me expressing my disbelief and pain :nono:

To me, it's like they flipped the influences. While Thief 1-3 were mostly medieval with a few Victorian trappings, Both T4 and Dishonored work in the opposite direction. They're Victorian, with medieval window dressing. Both of them do take a lot of cues from 19th century London, and both are gonna look similar because of that.
Though Thief does differ in that it's...er...steampunkiness is more grounded in reality. Less audacious. Dishonored went all out with its electric force fields, razor trains, mechs, and all that good stuff. What we're seeing above doesn't look like it goes anywhere near as crazy with the technology.

Is that concept art, or a screenshot? Either way, it sucks!

The models look way to generetic, way to Dishonored for me...
Which, again, doesn't make a bit of sense to me. Whatever
Dishonored was or did, the game definitely didn't have a generic look for its character models. If anything, people criticised it for being too stylised, too caricatured.
