What I love is that we can argue so much, but then frothing twittery as seen in this sub-forum for the past 2 weeks unites us in the rally against real stupidity.

In other news; Initially I thought it silly to compare ReThief with Dishonored but the art style is looking more and more similar. I think it will end up looking derivative but if its a good game I wont mind. After all - I did like Dishonored and I'm really looking forward to the Knife of Dunwall.

I didn't really understand the spelling announcement today and didn't feel like making a new thread on it.
Just so I understand: we should purposefully misspell and capitalize the title in our posts & discussions here so that no one could be ... confused(?) that ... we're talking about the up-coming THEIF game by Square Enix & Eidos Montreal? Actually I still don't get it. Or is it to preempt Google searches so they go to the Eidos forums before here... That would make a little more sense, I guess. But I mean ... we have literally 15 years worth of posts -- in the 10,000s I wouldn't doubt -- with the normal spelling.**
... Wait a second. Where did the announcement go?
Oh, now I'm really confused. Should I just wait for it to be worked out?
Edit: Ok, it's back. The explanation is a bit better this time. So it's a branding and ownership issue then? The idea is we should just use (or the forum uses) a purposefully different title so we don't look like an official extension of Eidos? I guess it sounds fair that they don't want the sites connected, though it seems like a bit exaggerated way to get there... Couldn't we just have a disclaimer at the top somewhere, we're not officially associated with Eidos or SqEx in any way? Well hopefully it gets resolved soon.
** Edit2: Wow, so even the ThiefGen, FM, & Editing Guild (et tu?) forums ... everything is getting the treatment, and going back to the beginning. Well that's quite a splash. Quite. a. splash.
