On the other hand, I would like immersive sims to make lots of money so everyone makes more of them, and particularly makes more new IP's in the genre, it could do with it. And like I said, if a bunch of optional (and definitely optional) overlays and simplifying HUD helpers is what it takes to achieve that, so people who aren't as... well, as smart, funny and handsome as you and I, so they can play them, then I have no issues with that.

Hey, that's Burrick's head based on the T1 concept! :)

Yeah, which is nice to see!...Although, like I mentioned on the other thread, it doesn't necessarily mean that Burricks are in the game...as it could only be a nod to the originals.

Indeed!

As I'm looking at the shots (by the way, thanks Clearing...for being awesome as usual...:thumb:), you notice the run-down state of the city, with the inhabitants beset by plague (as in the tavern)...the atmosphere is drab, without the uniquely THIEF adornments (e.g. the wondrous electric lamps), with the world more earth-like and demagicalized, at least in comparison to The World and The City of THIEF.

Will there be Tesla-based tech, as steampunk and Thief have utilized? I'm not seeing anything too unusual with steam machinery, or even very steampunk qualities, yet. A clocktower is a clocktower, not steampunk, so I'm not sure why here, as with TDS, the clocktower is the primary marketed "steampunk" epitomization. I don't know what's bothersome to designers about the collector towers, either. With Tesla's free-energy, who knows where we would be today if that tech had been globally put into the infrastructure and had evolved over a hundred years. :D

It looks nice but it's so... grey. :bored:
I love washed out colors, but it works well when there is at least a variety in colors displayed. Too much grey to my liking there, it's almost monochrome. I know these are concept arts, but it just makes the game look depressing, not really Thiefy.
I really like the inn though.

That's just what I was thinking...too blue-gray blah. I hope there are some more colorful bits. I like the structures & trashy clutter, though. I'd just like to see a bit more color. The inn colors are much more to my liking with browns to contrast with all that blue-gray.
