I'm curious what changes they intend to make in the game play. With games like Dishonered and the recent Deus Ex allowing for seemless blending of stealth/action play styles it's hard to imagine Thief sticking to its full stealth roots. Unless they add the RPG aspects to the game I'm having a hard time picturing this as just the stealth based original. Even if this game ends up a Dishonored clone (which I doubt) I'd buy it anyway.

Nice eye-liner, G. Sorry to hear about the depression, I guess there won't be any more wisecracks from you.

Man, you guys are so frigging negative. Nothing I see here looks generic. DXHR showed they understand how to put together an aesthetic just fine.
Chill at least until you have something to be negative about.
Meh. It'll be garbage. Because the market overwhelmingly demands garbage. Look at Skyrim: dumbed down Marie Sue wish fulfillment. Games today are nothing more than masturbation devices. I've watched every single franchise I've loved systematically devolved into tripe since I was a child.
Just ask yourself who the target market is and what is making the most money right now. Eidos will not go for the niche market that sparked the thief community.
Square is a publically traded company where the only way you keep your job is to market to the lowest common denominator and the broadest appeal possible. I could go on, but it's that logical. That means simplify, steam-line, and make everything so obvious people in china and other large foreign markets can play it with as cheap a localization as possible.
If DX:HR appealed to you then you'll probably dig this game.

DXHR appealed to me, yes.
Thanks for the amazing level of judgmental derision applied to that preference.
