What? Where?

It looks like there's Keepers' statue in the brothel. Hmmm... That would explain the presence of those strange signs (glyphs?) there...

As for my opinion, not that it matters but I'm looking forwards to Thief 4. The art looks very interesting and very well done, the new gameplay gadgets sound OK but you'll probably not be forced to use them. They say they're sticking to what made the Thief games great and I'll trust them with that and I'll look forwards to seeing what they show the public in the coming month or so.
Ah yes. The old "We can't take all these images, videos and interviews and develop a firm opinion on it, we have to wait to actually play it!!!!111" argument. To be followed shortly after release with the standard "Sure they changed literally everything, and most of it sucks, but who cares?" claim. Never change, apologists, never change. This is why games have gone to shit in the past 10 years.

This. This is what I've been trying to say (I made a post somewhere(here, eidos, can't remember) last night, but it got deleted or eaten).

I like what they've shown so far. As for me, I'm not bothered by this new canon, as the old one was and is still being enriched by the amazing fanmissions.
This tyrant/plague thing may sound exactly like Dishonored... but that's also pretty much how some of my friends and I envisioned Thief 4 a few years back when it wasn't yet announced (of course 'the tyrant' being the enigmatic Baron of the City).
I only hope that this new Thief will be as weird and creepy as the previous installments (right now it doesn't look like it), and that the ambient sound will be as good, as Eric Brosius's.

Oh man, not the old "you should experience something before pretending to have an informed opinion about it" argument. Also the "you should experience something before you casually dismiss it" argument. Man, I hate those.

What the hell are you talking about? Games have been going to shit for the past 10 years since 1997, when Stephen P. Internet teamed up with Jonathan "Red Hat" Linux to make the first videogame centered internet messageboard.
The very first post there was a guy ranting about how much better Commodore 64 games were compared to the SELL OUT LOWEST COMMON DENOMINATOR POOR EXCUSE SHIT STAIN GAMES that he was seeing in the PC scene those days. They knew how to make games with love in their hearts back in the 80's. Not like in the shit 90's. Everything was about the graphics before the turn of the millennium, what with their stupid . . . shit Voodoo 3D graphics cards ruining the gameplay, which was what mattered the most. Oh no. Back in the good ole days, a dungeon was a bunch of white diagonal lines (sometimes horizontal), and a dragon nothing more than a crudely drawn stick figure of a small retarded child. And you know what? It was still great, because no one cared about the graphics back then. It was about the love. And the gameplay.
He had to draw maps on graph paper, you know. You don't have to do that anymore in 3D accelerated games like Thief and Omikron: The Nomad Soul. They come with maps accessible from an ingame menu. Because dipshit Joe Cool is too goddamn stupid to put a pencil to a piece of paper. **** him and everyone like him. The games industry had sold him out, and he refuse to buy any more of their shit.
Fast forward 12 years, and that guy now has 600 games in his Steam catalog. Despite the fact he hates DRM, and companies like Valve are out to make a buck at your expense. Seriously. **** Gabe Newell. He's a sellout who only cares about money, and his stupid goddamn platform is a trap for idiot children like you who sacrifice true ownership for convenience.
Everything was a lot better 10 years ago.

Actually, now that I think of it...turning a former Keeper building into a brothel sounds so weird and cheap that it's almost clever again. And it probably makes Garrett's hand ache and starts the core plot.
But yes, there is hardly any shadow on that image, except for the left side maybe. Well, maybe I should just
focus...
