We had something similar happen to us when we moved from Germany to Singapore; two bags of rubbish shipped half-way across the globe just to end up in a dump straight after arrival.
In return, the removal company forgot to pack two boxes of 'proper' items. Nice.

T-Minus 4 hours and counting.
I'm starting to categorize stuff into: box now for pickup this morning, put aside for parcel post shipping later today, and throw the fuck away. I'm definitely going to run out of tape so I have to head off to the moving store when it opens at 7am. That's going to chop almost an hour out of the time I have left. FUCK. I might call the mover- who's really a shipping agent- and see if I can push him back an hour or two.
Time to box up the computer, monitor, speakers, peripherals, and break down the desk. This is the part I've been dreading because I have a 21" Viewsonic professional graphics CRT and it weights almost 65 pounds. Moving it is a nervewracking experience under the best of circumstances and I fucked up my back back in March of last year (and then got even more fucked up by the Workman's Comp doctor who told me that 'just because you're in pain doesn't mean you're hurt' and closed my case with a prescription for anti-inflammatories and a referral for physical therapy :mad:). So now I have to hoist this anvil from the desk to the ground without breaking it or me. Swell.
When I have more time I'll hook my laptop to the DSL and get my internet fix through that.
