I decided to follow in GBM's footsteps ^.^ I started a new game, but this time I'm using the Sword of Perithia mod. It's something I've never tried before, and so far I'd recommend it. After so many months of uberness, I'm afraid I lost my touch as a skilled warrior... I wrote this as my char's point-of-view. (Err... did I write too much?)
I have arrived at Morrowind. I, of course, went through the usual customs. This didn't concern me much, I already knew who I was and what my destiny was to be. I was named Theseus at birth, named after the great hero. I too will become a great hero, and I was going to prove it right from the start.
I stole everything I could form the customs office (just to give me a jumpstart financially) and talked to this one guy who gave me some stuff to take to Caius Cosades. Right. Sneaking behind him, I snag a few plates to sell for later - And I can hear my head fall to the ground without my body.
Sh*t.
I get the stuff to take to Caius Cosades and turn around and run smack into a locked door. I go talk to the man again and he tells me to take Captain Ron's Ship to Vivec. I nodded and backtracked.
I wasn't going to be bound to the ship that easily! After several failed attempts, I managed to scale a tree and jump over a wall. I sold what I stole and bought some armor. But the clothes... the clothes were ugly. I'm sorry to say that a hero as good as me shouldn't walk around in rags. Unfortunately, I had to kill someone to get some better clothes. The likely-looking suspect beat me to a bloody-pulp, a violent and dishonorable death for me.
God d*mn it.
*coughcough* I slaughtered the man and with my new clothes, I climbed a rock and jumped back onto the docks. I was fully equipped and ready to set sail. The trouble started almost immediately; a few hours into the trip a storm hit, crashing the boat ashore a small island. I managed to swim to shore, only to find someone else had been here before me! He had a note on him, telling me about his own troubles. His ship had crashed here too. He'd been living here, starving slowly, for a while. Eventually some crates from his ship washed ashore, filled with weapons (which I took.) He was feeling rejuvinated again and mentioned that inside his ship is a potion of water walking, something that'll take me past the deadly Dreugh's around the island. But... There was some monster inside the ship. That monster mortally wounded him, only to let him scramble a shore, write one last entry to his journal, and die. And you know what really gets on my nerves? He's right. IT'S ALWAYS RAINING!
I climbed to the highest point on the island, found the ship, and swam for it. Once inside the glowing ship, I drew back my sword and proceeded with caution, stabbing a few likely looking barrels. I held my breath and went under and was immediatly attacked by a crippled dreugh! No problem, I took it out in two easy strokes. Even if that man hadn't crippled it, I still would have won! I can't believe that weak little trader man died from that. This just proves me power... I'm destined to be great! I AM THESEUS!
I grabbed the bottled and exited the ship. Out of no where, two slaughterfishes jumped me! I fought bravely (they were just petty fish) and...
Died. D*MN IT, STOP!
I exited the ship and, with some strange precognition, was ready for the two fish. They were killed within seconds and I made my way back to shore. I slept until noon, at which point the rain finally stopped and struck out for the mainland. This was a mistake though; a Dreugh chased me back to the island and got in a good hit to my chest which took several hours to heal.
I swam out again and killed the Dreugh in revenge, and now I strike out again for the mainland. If ever I run into trouble, the potion will bring me above the water to safety. I just hope my luck holds out.
It didn't. D*mn slaughterfish.
I struck out for the shore, using the potion of water walking. I knew my time was short, so I prepared to run like hell as soon as the potion took effect.
The shouts and screams were heard before I even set eyes on the town of Eastwick. Just before the water walking wore off, I stumbled onto the shore and saw, to my horror, Eastwick under attack. Buildings were ablaze, dead bodies littered the ground... but I weariness overtook my urge to help and I was powerless to avoid the sleep the engulfed me. The smoke clouded over the moon in my sleep.
I awoke several hours later. Blood covered the ground in great puddles, bodies were seen no matter where I looked. I replaced my clothes with even better ones and collected what armor I could (want not, need not.) I was given a few maps by a lady and told to go to the tavern. I did and there I was told what had happened; Orcs attacked from the north and Eastwick needed help. I was given a note and told to hurry to Cross Town for help.
I have a feeling this will be a rough journey, even for such a warrior as me.
Somewhere in the back of my mind a voice said, "I just know I'll die again..." What a strange though. 'Again'? HA! Like I would ever die! If I was dead, how would I still be standing here? Oh well. I'm going to collect some more armor, sell it, re-equip myself and travel south to Cross Town. I'm not looking forward to the Swamp of Eternal Stench or it's Ass Sludge...
Note: I was exploring a guard room and found a woman, crying because her mother had died in the attack. She spotted an amulet which I had found, claimed it was her mothers, and offered 50 gold for it. I said yes and turned to the rubble infront of us. As if by magic, it disappeared! Hehehe... console... I jumped down and found nothing on the corpses at all. Disheartened, I turned to go back up the stairs and -
My foot went straight through the floor! The rest of my body was dragged along and I feel into the cold, black void below... everything faded out of sight. Things faded back in, but too late, they were lost once again in blackness. I fell for eternity, unable to stop or call out.
GOD D*MN IT I DIED AGAIN!
Second Note: Entered Eastwick Forest, got killed twice. Decided I don't like Morrowind as much as I used to and considering heading back to Vvardenfell for some training first.
Last Note: Found out why it was so hard. Someone had the difficulty set to 100 -.-'

I got a good chuckle out of this. Partially because the same thing happened to me when I was playing the little bit of Sword of Perthia(sp?). :)

Heh. I did go back to Vvardenfell for training (the Perithia mod messes it up though. It has his NPC's littered throughout cities and stuff, which is a bit strange.) And I got some good Ebony Armor too (And sword of white woe... -.-' )
I thought it was mean, making me go up against skeletons and bone lords at level 2!

Yeah definately, I ran more than I fought on that mod.

I dunno. Getting training on Vvardenfell helped a whole lot. I have an AR of around 100 and I can hold my own against a lot of the monsters so far, just so long as I have some healing potions. I only have like 8k though, and it's gonna run out soon...
