Have you got your Quest 3 now, Brethren?
I've just seen this trailer and it looks like it could be quite yummy:

Hey Thirith, I think you forgot the actual link...but you've got me curious now.
Anyway yes, I did get the Q3, and have been using it a fair amount. Playing through Alyx and Red Matter 2 now, and a few other things. I don't think it's revolutionary or anything, but it's a very nice upgrade over the Q2 in several ways. Visually everything looks much much better, especially noticeable in the all the text and menus systems. Even though it's supposedly the same weight, it just feels much smaller and more compact, and feels a lot more comfortable to wear. Battery life is about the same. Haven't messed around with the AR portion of it yet, I'll get there eventually, but the color passthrough looks so much better than the old b&w version on the Q2.
I guess the only disappointing thing is that there aren't many new games at release that take advantage of the Q3's upgraded specs, or even that many older games that are providing updated visuals for it. Would have been nice to have some more of this at launch, but I'll assume its coming...eventually. I mean, the game you get free with the headset (Asgard's Wrath 2) doesn't even come out until mid December.
Also wanted to mention that I bought a (

Everything is tons smoother now and more playable. Not sure if its just that my normal wireless router isn't great, but I'd highly recommend one if anyone else is having issues.

Can you elaborate on the image quality? I'm curious about black levels, brightness, mura, all that stuff.

Heh. The link was there, but inside the wrong tags; I'd mistakenly clicked on "Insert Image". It should work now, so... enjoy!

I'm not good at assessing this kind of stuff, I probably need to use it a bit more, it's been less than a week. Are we comparing it to the Q2? Display seems plenty bright to me, possibly even more so than the Q2. I'll probably have to play some dark, horror related games to check out the black levels further. Mura is the screen door effect, right? I haven't noticed anything on that front so far. I actually don't even remember seeing that at all since my PSVR days.

Mura kind of looks like screen door effect except it's not a grid; it's more like a film grain that doesn't actually move. It might be more of an issue with OLED screens. PSVR2 definitely has it, but it's most noticeable when there's grey on screen.

Besides confusion with things like screen door, I think mura is usually used to describe two different phenomena (which may influence each other, I'm not sure):
Imperfections in the lens or screen, caused by a textured surface, dust or moisture, adhesive, etc.
Pixels or sub-pixels that are not evenly lit, but in a way that is consistent from frame to frame for each pixel or sub-pixel.
I don't know if PSVR2 is the same as Quest 1 but the Quest 1 had noticeable mura of the second kind in dark areas not strictly because of the fact that it had OLED screens but because of something that was done to compensate for another issue that OLEDs have. When OLEDs toggle from on to completely off and vice-versa, it's slow enough to cause visible purple smearing. The Quest 1 therefore didn't turn off its pixels completely, it kept them very dimly lit. Small differences in the brightness of the pixels manifested as mura in dark images, made worse by the screen door effect.
Quest 3 has mura that is more visible in bright areas, and I think it's probably the first kind of mura. It's not enough to bother me much. I do have a Quest 3 (I was using Quest 2 previously), and I love it so far!

PSVR2 has the second kind. It's visible almost at all times, but it's only noticeable on solid colours, particularly greys, as I said. And the higher the resolution of the game, the less noticeable it is (on Red Matter 2, for instance, it's harder to spot). In pitch black areas, though, it's invisible, I guess because those pixels are off. It kinda bothered me at first, but I hardly notice it now.

Got my Quest 3 :) so nice to be able to do the dishes from the last 3 days and watch a 3D movie at the same time haha. Had to shrink the screen to maybe 50" (from 400" or whatever it can be at default).
I kept the Quest 2 so far. Might use it in my bathtub for watching movies ;) they really need to make a water-proof version for this...
Since i now have two headsets me and a friend tried Walkabout Minigolf in 2-player, decent fun. It did allow me to use the game from the same account and join, nice to not be forced to use another account + pay for the game again.
I do think the maps are kind of dull though, but we used to play some Nintendo mini golf game that was just superior, no idea about the name (this is 15+ years ago).
Got to try something else in 2 player, not sure what yet.

While I had to nope out of The Exorcist Legion VR, I am wondering whether I might like the Amnesia: The Dark Descent VR mod Sclerosis more enjoyable. For one thing, I've played Amnesia before and roughly know where the main scares are, for another, the mod includes a safe mode like the one that later Frictional Games titles got.

What's important to note: according to the video description, Sclerosis "This isn't just a mod. Deesice has lovingly built the game from the ground up for VR." The trailer suggests that this is indeed the case, and I'm wondering if the somewhat awkward physics-based gameplay might not almost work better in VR, if done well.
