I get the impression that people are forgetting PSVR in their discussion of where VR is going. If I'm not mistaken, until the Quest 2 PSVR was the headset that sold best, even though it has major shortcomings compared to other systems. There were even high-profile system exclusives (e.g. Resident Evil 7). Depending on how PSVR2 is priced - and whether the PS5 will actually be widely available by that time -, it might again have an impact on what's going to happen.

I'm surprised PSVR is still getting exclusive games, but I guess as Thirith mentioned, they were the most popular headset for a while (although that was over a year ago). These two games that were recently released look somewhat interesting:

Hmm, wonder if that's a forever exclusive, or just a limited time thing. Also, kind of wondering what they're going to charge for this - it's a full length game, but it's also over 15 years old. I'm guessing something in the $30-40 range?
And - I've been enjoying Arizona Sunshine lately (got it in the Fall VR Humble Bundle), it's some serious guilty pleasure type gaming. Extremely simple "shoot everything in sight and keep moving forward" style levels, but still really fun and very effective in VR. I cruised through the base game in about 4 hours and immediately bought all the DLC. There's something so satisfying about blowing away zombies in the head at point blank range, while wandering around abandoned military bases in the desert.

Bizarre. Almost nobody would even blame Facebook for sexist stuff in a game that's basically a straight port from over a decade ago.

Anybody else think this new "Meta" account will be basically just a Facebook account under the hood anyway?
Renault on 29/10/2021 at 15:54
I'm guessing it will be basically the same thing. I have to hope that by saying "you don't need a Facebook account anymore," they don't just mean "but you will need a Meta account." That would just be obnoxious.
