I've got an Oculus Rift S and I'm happy with it. A bunch of us have the original Oculus Rift (though it can be tricky to get it to work with some USB 3.0 setups - the Rift S is better in that respect, as it just needs one USB 3.0 connection). I believe there are Windows Mixed Reality headsets that are pretty good and cheaper as well, although from what I've heard they're a step down in terms of tracking and controllers.
With PSVR, you'd also need a camera and two Move controllers for the full experience. I'm not sure you'd end up with a much smaller price tag than with the options mentioned above.

If I was getting into VR at this point I'd definitely get an Oculus Quest, seeing as it both works as a standalone wireless device and you can turn it into a PC VR headset by connecting it to a PC with a USB cable.
Thirith, have you tried this yet? And was the experience on par with the regular Oculus Rift?

I've not tried it, as I (imprudently) got the Rift S and the Quest at the same time. I thought that I could play some of the multiplayer stuff with my wife, but other than the occasional game of Beat Saber she's not shown all that much interest in the Quest, which has been gathering dust lately.
However, I've heard good things about the Link option. I don't think it works with all GPUs yet (NVIDIA should work, but not all AMD GPUs), and ideally you'd have a long, good USB 3.0 cable (people recommend optic USB cables), but even at this stage is seems to be a viable option.

I already have those. I got them with my PS3 to play some Move Games (Child of Eden mainly).

From everything I've heard, PSVR is definitely 'lesser' VR. At the same time, some of the coolest exclusives are PSVR exclusives, such as Astro Bot Rescue Mission and Resident Evil 7. I'm still hoping that the latter will eventually pop up on PC VR, though I'm not sure I'd actually make it through an entire horror game in Virtual Reality.

I've played some more Boneworks, and the more I'm getting used to its idiosyncrasies, the more I'm enjoying the systems. It is pretty good at letting you use the objects and physics to solve things, and it really does help if you imagine heavy objects to be heavy. It's something of a placebo thing, but hey, if it improves the experience...
However, and this is not a minor thing, it has absolutely dreadful checkpointing. I've now replayed much of one level for the third time, each time getting a bit further, but even after roughly an hour of playing the level I still haven't got to a point where it saves - which means that each time I've had to replay that monstrously big level. And that's simply not fun. I'll be waiting with playing more of this until they've patched in some sort of mid-level save point.

According to a post in the comments for Craig Pearson's pre-review over on RPS, mid-level saving or similar is planned for January.

That's what the developers have said on the Steam discussion page. Free save would be much more challenging to implement and would therefore take longer, if they're even thinking about it.

Calling the TTLG VR posse: apparently there's a bunch of coop escape room games on Steam called
Tales of Escape, with two of the escape rooms (
Illusion and
Sleepy Hollow) being available as VR versions. Each of these is around GBP3. Would you guys be up for trying one or both of them? The reviews are middling, but at the price I think they might be good coop fun nonetheless.
