Who cares if they don't release an editor.....the game will probably suck anyway, so what's the big deal?
This seems obvious - it would give the community a chance to fix many of the things that don't work in the retail game, and design levels that don't have all the limitations that a AAA game would. Anyone who's played T2 knows that there are dozens of fan levels that are even better than the original OMs.
@SeriousCallers - what is up with all the classical music youtubes?

I'm calling "teenage attention whore". He's no Sypha Nadon yet, but by gosh he's trying.

We know this so lets stop mentioning it in threads. We may be able to tweak/mod the game by altering stuff on the PC version but they've said their won't be one and given the state of play we'd be crazy to expect one.
So lets drop it from all other threads, hmmm? Its unnecessary clutter.
Don't tell me how to live my life. An editor is about the only thing that will save this train wreck.

No modern editor would have the level of access to core gameplay that DROMED provided, so you'd at best be able to build some pretty levels while still having to suffer through the asinine design choices that comprise the rest of the game.
It's DOA regardless.

Not to me it isn't obvious! It would only give a crappy game more life! And who needs that?
I say let it DIE! That is the obvious choice!
If even half the stuff is implimented that I have seen, such as XP points for headshots...then the best thing for this game is to die a quick death!
'nuff said.

Shall we engage in conversation via smoke signals? Does TTLG even provide such a service?

It all depends on the depth of the editor. A couple of T1/T2 fan missions contained gameplay changes that weren't present in the original games. Think of ghosting in Art of Thievery, for instance.

I do not think it is going to be another dromed! Sorry, but those days are long gone!
The most it would have, is you would be able to make small changes and make your own missions, but that is about it!
It will not have the depth of dromed. And if it does not have dromed capabilities to do deep editing, then what good is it?
I'll repeat....Better off not to have an editor and let this game die a quick death.

Not necessarily. If an editor were to come out for it (which is really doubtful, but you never know), it'd be built around the UDK, which, assuming everything but the renderer are relatively unmolested, you'd be able to edit down to deeper levels more easily than you would Dromed. Worst case scenario is that it'd end up about like T3Ed, but without any of the hardware restrictions.

Regardless of how the main game ultimately turns out, I'd love to see an editor in the hands of this community.
